Worked with Rick Geddes...the estimate meeting went well--we wanted 2 large trees removed...when I called to scheduled, he finally called me back to set a date. My husband took the day off to be sure someone would be here. That morning he called to say he just returned from vacation and truck batteries were dead and he'd have to reschedule...To make a long story shorter, after my husband took another day off, and some more waiting...we set the date. They show up, they do most of the work, then he wants to get paid since he's leaving...I felt uncomfortable, but I paid and asked if the remaining team would finish job (grinding roots & removing extra wood), he said they would finish that afternoon...The team left without finishing, so I figured they'd be back after a lunch break...By 4pm, I was getting worried...After calling, a new man working for a different company came to grind roots and take some of the firewood, leaving a bunch of firewood trunks on our front lawn. The next day we called to see when they'd come to pick up the rest...he kept saying he'd take care of it...finally it was the friday before the hurricane Irene...we were getting concerned that the wood may cause damage...left 3 urgent messages (1 was with someone named charlie)...He never called us back. Luckily I had put a sign "free firewood" and thankfully random neighbors & people took it all before the winds started. Very disappointing, inconsiderate person and company. Obviously, we will not be using this company again. UPDATE 8/2012: Because of a bad job grinding down the tree roots, we couldnt get driveway paved...called rick and when he did respond wanted to charge us again for what we already paid to get done (we told him we wanted tree roots ground down since we planned to pave driveway)...we left him a message to get back to us because we didnt feel we should have to pay again--he never called back so we had to pay someone else to do what we already paid them to do last year...definitely bad business--do not recommend.
