"Mr. [Member Name Removed], We have advised you each time that you contacted us that unfortunately it is very common for a new fence to settle after the ground has been disturbed during installation. There is nothing that we can do during the installation process to prevent that. Because wood is a natural product, as it starts to dry, it will sometimes crack and shift. We do not manufacture this product, it comes straight from the wood mills. I am happy to offer some additional boards at no cost, but unfortunately none of this is covered by warranty and there would be a service call fee involved. We apologize that you disagree, but using this platform to smear our name in retaliation hoping that we will come do the work at no cost will not change the situation."

I started having problems with my 4' gate on the West fence in my backyard. At first I noticed the gate was out of alignment and that the posts must have moved. I contacted Kara, and she said that there probably was a minor adjustment to be made....I looked at the hinges and made a small adjustment and the gate opened and closed perfectly again, but I still saw that the gate was not "true", a level showed that for the fence to close without binding at the latch, it had to be off-center. The South post had definitely moved, it wasn't set properly. About a month ago, I sent Kara an email, and I was surprised that I didn't get an immediate response. I emailed her again, and still received no response, so I called her on the phone number I had, she answered and told me she no longer worked for ForeverFence....she didn't go into details, but I could only assume that there must have been an issue with the owner. I told her the gate was not level and it was not closing at all. She gave me the owners name and phone number, but she said that I would probably NOT .hear back from Amillio. His voicemail message stated that he would get back to me within 24 hours, that was 3 days ago. I have tried to contact him since that, but still no response. I spent close to $5000.00 on this installation. I can't believe they don't follow up on their product.

We had a problem with the gate and within 1 day it was fixed with no hassle. I am so confident that should I ever have a problem, Emilio and his team will respond quickly. I love my new fence and I lover Forever Fence - By the way Emilio makes you fee like hes your friend rather than a business owner.

"Unfortunately, about the only thing that's accurate on [member name removed]'s review is that she stalked us....day in and day out. Before entering into contract, [member name removed] was provided with a detailed, specific Proposal which states exactly what type of material would be installed as well as how much. [member name removed]'s only question was that if she paid extra, could her installation be placed to the top of the list. When I explained to her that it would not be fair to all of our customers who had been patiently waiting and that we would not accept the Contract if that was her contingency, she was not happy. I made it very clear that all of our installations are put in the schedule on a first come, first save basis. She understood and moved forward......and then called our office and cell phones each and every day to ask when her installation would be done. Although, Forever Fence installed what [member name removed] contracted for, she insisted that we do the remainder of her yard at no additional cost or else she would leave a negative review on Angie's List. While we could not do that, we did offer her a substantial discount to come back and install more fence around the remainder of her yard. Once complete, [member name removed] whom we had heard from on a daily basis, suddenly disappeared when it was time to pay her balance. It was only after we had no choice but to consider sending the account to collections, did we hear from her again. Eventually, she paid her balance which was significantly past due. [member name removed]'s fence project turned out beautiful and overall transformed her yard. She is also correct in that we care for each and every one of our customers and strive for 100% satisfaction. Unfortunately though, there are some that you can never satisfy. We are sad to hear that [member name removed]'s experience was not as awesome as the rest of our customer's and we wish her the best of luck in the future. "Unfortunately, regardless how hard we work, there are some customers that will never be satisfied until they are told what they want to hear. Being in the customer service industry for as many years as we have, we also encounter situations such as these where the customer will go as far as to alter the actual events as a negotiating tool, holding the Angie’s List review as hostage unless we consent or provide additional services for free. One of the most valuable tools on Angie’s List, is that we the contractor, are able to reply and often times, set the record straight. In this case, the customer stated that we “pushed for the install at her home” and we “did not require anyone to be home during the installation of the fence”. This is untrue, as ALL homeowners are required to be at the property when their fences are being installed. This customer in particular, was unable to be present due to her heavy workload, (which is also the reason why it took a few attempts to connect with her). As an alternative, she opted to leave her brother in charge of the installation in her absence in a May 12th email. Prior to going to the property, her brother was called and it was confirmed that he would be present during the entire fence installation. Our office stayed in constant communication with her brother throughout the day. When we encountered a small problem during the installation, we made every effort to contact the customer directly to advise her of the situation and her options, yet when we were unable to reach her, her brother advised and approved the remedy. This customer, at first denied our attempts to contact her and it is only now that she agreeing that we made several attempts to contact her once she was provided with our records. In the end, her brother was ecstatic with the remedy, stating that, “my sister will be so happy that the dogs can not escape, thank you”. Unfortunately, if the customer is unaware of what is subterranean, we are unable to know what is under the ground until we start digging. When we encounter a foundation to a structure, we are unable to “break” that foundation, therefore on occasion there will be a small gap. So, yes, as courtesy, we took some of the new fence that this client just purchased and retrofitted the gap so not to incur her any additional costs. This, as you can see by her review, was unacceptable to her despite her brother having approved it, as she demanded we “do something, at no additional cost or else she would be leaving a negative review”. At no time did we say that it was a “temporary fix”, just that we would put it there so that the dogs would not be able to get out of the yard. Following all of the above, we still continued to make every effort to contact her with hopes that we could some how rectify it. She stopped responding. We value all of our customers, especially Angie’s List members. We strive to satisfy each and every one and on occasion are met with situations like this. Nothing that we could have said would have changed her mind. Now, when first we received nothing but praise and accolades from her, she decided to alter her experience and now claim that we are unprofessional and that she did not receive a quality installation because we could not send a crew back at no additional expense. As always, we wish all of our customers good luck and will rely on the majority of the accurate reviews below. Thank you and we look forward to continue working with all Angie’s List members. Emilio"
