Hufnagel Tree Service

We've worked with Hufnagel Tree Service a few times and are always very happy with the service! This year we needed a large, dead pine removed which they did all the way down through the roots so we could cleanly plant a new tree in the future. We also needed 2 ornamental trees cleaned up and some large trees along the property line pruned. It is always a pleasure dealing with Hufnagel. They are here the minute they say they will be. They are respectful of the property and they leave things in perfectly cleaned up condition. We will continue to work with them in the future. Always a pleasure.

The tree trimming was amazing to watch, with men roped and climbing up into the tree to remove all the dead wood. They clean up the tree, removed all of the wood they cut down, and left with the tree looking amazing. The price was very fair, they were extraordinarily professional, and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Thank you for excellent work!

I was pleased. I called and they came out the same day to look at the trees. That was a plus since I've had some experience with tree companies who never show up. Incredibly professional and worked with my budget. On the day of the tree removal, the removed the trees and ground the stumps down. They raked up all the branches, and lingering brush and the yard looked as if nothing had happened. They were careful with nearby landscaping and I was appreciative of that. Safety for their employees was obvious.

Mike came by to give an estimate, which was fair. Let me know exactly what would be done. I asked when the job could be completed, and he let me know in a couple of days. In less than 24 hours, the job was done as said. Definitely would hire again.

(the job date is approximate, I can't remember when this year it was). We've used them before to remove overgrown hedge bushes that came with the house we just bought. They brought a stump grinder as well, to grind down a stump for free. After a year, we called them again this time to remove two trees leaning dangerously on each other. The trees were located at a very inaccessible corner of the property. The pieces had to be carried manually from the spot to their chipper, across the side of a wood shop, down a retaining wall and on to the driveway while avoiding newly-planted trees along the way. They came and did the job. By the time I got back, the trees were gone and  it was like they were never there at all. This is what a competent, nonsense-free, professional job looks like.

Quick to respond to my call and also quick to provide an estimate.  I was told the trimming could be done in about 2 weeks but they actually came quicker.  Arrived 10  minutes early and trimmed the branches away from my roof and wires.  They removed any dead branches.  Once the cutting was done and the branches were chipped they blew all the sawdust off the property.  Nice bunch of guys.  I would definitely use them again.  They asked for my input on any areas that needed trimming.  I appreciate that!

The work was done on time and to our satisfaction.  When we called for an estimate, we were given a senior citizen discount.  We would recommend them and use them again.

Mike Hufnagel (Tree Expert Company) and his Crew arrived 10 minutes earlier than the scheduled arrival time, which was GREAT. Mike then proceeded to brief his Crew on what he and I had agreed on, and they immediately began to work. Mike has a great crew, they knew exactly what they were doing, and they did not stop until the job was done. I got more than I expected from this very efficient crew. Everything I asked for was addressed, and all work was completed in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them, and hire them again. They were courteous, professional, and used the appropriate safety measures for this job. Mike answered all my questions and concerns. He went the extra mile to help me out. I am very pleased with the job that he and his crew did for me. They did a beautiful job, removed all debris, and left my property in pristine condition. Mike is a Certified Arborist, with a lot of experience and a lot of knowledge and this is exactly what I wanted. I couldn't have asked for a better crew to get the job done at my house. It looks great. The tree had inner branches removed so that the sunlight could reach the inner part of the tree. That's how you get rid of bacteria . Mr. Hufnagel is an arborist which is the reason I called him for his knowledge and he was an A all around. He cleaned up after the job and we discussed what was going to happen before the job.

Very well. Such a good job was done. We were pleased with Mike and his more than competent workers. Careful of new fencing, cleaned everything . Don't look any further for tree removal or any outside work. You a won't be sorry.

The job went remarkably well! Mike showed up as promised to check out the job and to give me an estimate on Saturday, June 21. In addition to asking for an estimate for raising the pine tree, I also asked him give his professional opinion about 2 very tall trees in my yard. These trees are very old and have a few dead branches so I was not sure if they should be cut down. Mike checked them out and recommended that the trees stay as they are stating that they are still very much alive. How impressive and refreshing to find a contractor who is honest and not just trying to make a buck! On Saturday, Mike explained that he was about 2 weeks out in terms of jobs, so I expected to see his crew by mid-July. For that reason, I was thrilled when they showed up this morning, only 5 days after he gave me the estimate. The crew did a phenomenal job in every aspect. I could not be more pleased with the work they did or the professionalism of Hufnagel Tree Service. When reading through the Angie's List reviews for tree service experts, I honed my choices down to 3 possible companies. I definitely made the right choice by picking Hufnagel. They do extraordinary work and I recommend them without reservation!

They did exactly what I asked them to do, doing all professionally and safely. I am quite happy with the job that they performed.

Promptly returned my initial phone call. Scheduled the same week. Showed up as scheduled, performed services as requested neatly and efficiently. Very professional as far as all communications were concerned.

Hufnagel Tree were very good. They were able to come right away, when I asked about his advise which trees to be removed after hurricane Sandy, he told me which ones could be removed. I asked him about other trees which could be removed, he said that would jack up the price and said that those were fine and should not be removed. His people came and did all the work in one day, and cleaned up after, and they charged me exactly what they were going to do and it was an easy experience. He was recommended to use by friends who are very happy with him.

They did a good job.They don't set appointments they just come out but they did what we asked them to do.
