MSI Plumbing & Remodeling provides full residential remodeling services for kitchens, baths, basements, and additions. We are also experts at building maintenance and repair and provide these services to community associations, condo owners, single-family homeowners and professional office buildings. Our full-service office staff is friendly and attentive with our system of mobile phones, voice mail, fax and email. We provide detailed work orders and punch lists as well. Our professionals are licensed home improvement contractors in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. We hold local licenses as required and are EPA lead safe contractors. MSI is a member of several local organizations, including the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce, the North Hunterdon Rotary, the Community/Associations Institute and the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. We are fully insured, including liability, auto and workers' compensation. Certificates of insurance available upon request

I contacted MSI to replace the plumbing stack between a second story toilet and the septic tank in my newly purchased home.  In discussions I made it clear I expected a quote and contract for "everything said and done" and our contract read very clearly "contractor shall furnish all labor and materials for such work".  Their workers came and began working and it was only after two hours I learned that the MSI "home office" had instructed the plumbers that they were not to open any walls.  This meant that the responsibility of opening the walls and exposing the pipes to the plumbers fell on me, the homeowner.  After about 20 minutes of attempted DIY demolition I realized it wasn't feasible for me to open up the walls so that the plumbers could do the work they agreed to do.  Next they offered up a different contractor at a rate of about ~300 an hour who could come and open the walls for us. It was a learning lesson - as soon as things got fishy I should have told them to pack up and go home.  I called someone else and not only did they fix MSI's work but they gladly patched and painted my walls.  I cannot suggest hiring MSI for any remodelling work.

It was a disaster. They pretty much just threw up their hands and were unable to proceed. It was kind of strange. The $100 was just to come out and say we don't know, we can't help you and go away. They just didn't seem interested in finding the leak. They were very weird. The pricing was kind of irrelevant, because they really were not doing anything. They came out and leave. They did come when they were supposed to come.

It went very well. The young man who did the work was on time, identified himself, went to work and accomplished the task in short order. I have been pleased with this company re: plumbing work in the past so I continue to use them.

The overall experience from the estimate to the completion of the work was done very well. MSI not only gives you an estimate in writing, but also covers all the other bases you need for a reputable contractor-- such as supplying a copy of their insurance coverage. Thewritten estimate was supplied in a timely manner, and the work was completed on time. Every thing we needed done down to the clean up and removal of damaged wood, wasvery good. MSI is not the least expensive company to use, but the value of the end product is worth the cost. We plan on using them again and again.

They send a note out that if they don't get there before the first freeze on what to do, but I've never had to do that. I've never been worried of the freezing. We have a yearly contract with them which is $220 for the two visits. The previous owners used them and we continued to use them.
