Lucas was great to work with, and I would readily work with him again. Price and quality of work are excellent, generally responded within a couple of hours to voice mails and e-mails, and completed the work on schedule and on budget. 

My only disappointment is in regards to their cleaning up of the work site. I have found several large, loose nails on my driveway and there is a fair amount of roof and gutter repair litter all around the house. Further, I found a pile of cigarette butts on my lawn near my vegetable garden, tarnishing what was otherwise a very good experience with LCG roofing.

Lucas, owner of LGC Roofing, is a very straightforward person and one of high integrity. This was our first job with him and we've since used him twice more. Once for a larger, more complicated project involving rebuilding a partially rotted knee wall supporting the eve of a roof, and once for a selective slate replacement for maintenance.
We called him initially because our previous roofer couldn't find the origin of a leak that was slowly surfacing on the inside of a plaster wall. Lucas showed up promptly, investigated, and showed us the water stain marks in the crawl space of the attic where the leak started, then went under the existing roofing, and eventually drained into the wall. We followed his recommendation and have had no further issues.
As I previously mentioned, we've used Lucas to replace/repair additional roof issues - in each instance, the roofs were at the end of their lifecycle. It has been over six months since his last project at our house and we've never had to place a leak callback.
It should be noted that his crew does incredible custom work with natural products, such as slate and copper.

I contacted them by email (which I prefer to the telephone); Lucas answered by email and showed up at the arranged time with a computer printout from a satellite photo, which gave him all the information he needed in order to make an estimate!  He also looked over the house to see if there were any trouble spots; we discussed gutters etc.  He emailed the contract to me; I suggested a holdback of $5000 pending approval by the township building inspector; he agreed; I signed contract and he picked it up with my deposit.  He applied for and obtained the permits.  His estimate was that the work would take a week but when the time came, they did the whole thing in 2 days.  A few questions arose on the first day and Lucas gave me options + prices.  He came prepared to replace any rotten plywood that they found; ended up using only 8 pieces of plywood, which he charged for at the pre-determined rate.  Inspector came on the third day; Lucas came back in the afternoon and I paid the balance.  Very professional team; they cleaned up everything and even took some of the extra junk that had been stashed behind the house for years.  Thanks, Lucas!

I got them off Angie's List. The gentleman was very prompt when he came to give me the estimate. The workers were great. They cleaned up. It was just really good. I even had him put extra couple of tiles on because he did part of my slate roof also. He did a very nice job and didn't charge me for the extra tiles.
