ResumeEdge, a Nelnet Service

The ResumeEdge that came highly recommended by my friend actually went out of business in 2017; the current organization is based out of Cyprus, and is not affiliated with the former 5-star business in New Jersey. This site is a scam. Here's how my experience went: 1) No communication outside the web portal, and no indication my document uploads failed because their site was not working. Had to email everything to a support address at another domain (support@skillroads.com) on day 2 of my 3 day deadline. Not my fault. They requested another 48 hours, which I gracious allowed. 2) The resume returned by the "writer" was 90% identical to what I provided them except for many poorly substituted synonyms. Also added were made up accomplishments and metrics I could never explain in an interview. 3) The cover letter was delivered an additional 12 hours late. Clearly the "writer" was a non-native English speaker, as the letter was riddled with obscure synonyms for what should have been common nouns and adjectives. Professionals would NEVER use them in conversation or written communications. Some examples: "...demonstrated illustrious acuity..." "...executing superlative solutions that enkindle productivity..." "My capacity encapsulates abetting and executing unique solutions..." "...I facilitated productive interfaces with my peers..." "...I have espoused apt business outcomes...", "...apt resolutions...", "...apt insight...", Plus, there were many grammatical errors and even *entire sentences repeated*!!! 4) Upon investigating the relationship between support@skillroads.com and ResumeEdge, I discovered Skillroads is software that provides AI generated resumes and cover letters for $29.99--unlike the $157.00 I was charged! Based on the materials I provided and the product I got back, I believe ResumeEdge "writers" are the Skillroads AI bot.

This company, did not aid in the creation of a resume as advertised. Julie Martin just plugged in my original wording, did not respond with changes I requested in a timely manner, sent supposedly finished products with misalignments, grammatical errors, and very few changes to my original resume. I had to redo everything myself, after many requests for changes went ignored. It was a complete waste of money!

It was very professional and very well written. They did a lot of follow-up and helped me reflect and come up with a lot of good ideas on how to approach certain subject matters and issues I was having my employment history. They helped me to better explain the gaps in my resume.

They were very professional- set me up with a writer that worked with me and I have had many compliments on the appearance and design of my resume.

They do a very good job. It was very convenient for me. All of the work was done online or via email. After the original draft there were a couple of revisions that needed to be made and they were very quick about making those and getting everything back to me in a timely manner. I think that the price was fair for the work that was performed.
