I had a leak in the liner and he attempted to fix it.  He charged 150.00 and said if he had to replace to whole liner he would deduct the 150 from the bill.  The leak wasn't fixed so the liner had to be replaced.   He took forever to get actually get the liner.  He was 2 hours late when he finally had the liner.  After the work was done he gave the bill and hadn't deducted the 150.00 off like he said he would.  The hole is still there too.

"Inspection revealed a tear in homeowner’s liner at deep end of pool and ground water seeping in. I explained to homeowner that I would install a temporary well point pump to get rid of ground water. I also patched the hole in the liner. The charge for this service call was $150.00. I explained I could patch the liner over the ripped seam and it is a 50?50 chance it would hold because of the area the rip was in. The Member wanted to try the patch first to see if it would work and she understood that if it did not work, she would need a new liner invoice. Approximately two weeks later homeowner called to let me know there was still a loss of water in the pool and she decided to buy a new liner. A purchase contract was signed for a new liner in the amount of $1899.00. Shipment of new liner is usually about 2 weeks. The Member’s liner was delivered in 18 days and was installed on June 21st. I always give approximate time and dates that I will be at a job not exact because I am a business owner who has to rely on the timely shipping of products job and distributors. I am personally on every job and am a hand on owner. Dates and times are approximate because of the waiting of shipments. When I did receive liner I promptly delivered it and installed it. The Member was satisfied with the work completed. Approximately 3 days after new liner was installed, the Member called and complained of more water loss. I made another service call to her home and checked the liner. The liner was intact and installed properly. I explained that she should turn the pump off for 24 hours and then turn it back on for another 24 hours. The Member called me to let me know after she turned it back on, she noticed there was still more water loss and asked me to come back. I made a 3rd service call and I checked the filter system and found that there was an issue with leakage in the plumbing side of the filter system. I fixed the leak on her filter with no charge nor did I charge her for any previous service calls that I made to her house. The Member is stating that there is “still a hole in her liner”. The is no hole in the liner, the liner is brand new. A check was issued to the Member on June 26th, 2012 in the amount of $150.00 as I stated I would deduct. I also discounted the liner and did not charge for all other service calls. Truthfully, I do not know why she would even make a complaint when all work was completed and satisfactory with more than fair discounts. As a courtesy to the Member, I went to her son’s house and looked for leaks in his fiberglass pool at no charge as she asked me to do so."
