Sunroom and Patio Service
$30,000

Since that first day we saw in our new Sunroom, we thought we were happy.   Then the rains came and our sunporch floor was soaking wet.  We have been dealing with Tri-State for almost 10 years with no results.  Once a year, we bombarded Tri-State with phone messages and faxes until we get someone to come out and look at our sunporch. They come but nothing ever gets fixed.   We stopped calling because we got tired of fighting and getting nowhere.

However, we just (Oct 2015) had a electrician come to do some work.  We asked him to look at the sunporch because the electrical plugs in the walls stopped working.  We also talked this electrician about installing a heater in the room.  He wouldn't do anything and told us to call the sunporch company.  Here I am again, trying to get someone from the company to come out.
Three days ago on January 11th,  I emailed the President, David Card at [email protected] and even sent him copies of faxes I sent in 2010?. I haven't heard from him.
I would love to hear from David Card and get everything in my sunroom fixed after 10 years but I can't hold my  breath.
Buyer Beware!   If everything goes well, good for you; but if there are problems you can't expect help.

Sunroom and Patio Service

First, I want to let you know that the "approximate cost of service" is MY approximation, as Tri-State NEVER came by to give us an estimate.  This is the company who originally built the sunroom on the house we purchased in 2000.  We were having the main house roof replaced and therefore, wanted the sunroom roof replaced as well, because we were having major leak problems with that roof.  My roof contractor wouldn't touch it because he said, 1 - they don't deal with metal roofs and  2 - if they touch it, then they own it.  So I contacted Tri-State with the hope that they could remedy the situation because they were the ones that built it. The room was built with a 5' flat roof on one side and the remaining 19' being a-frame.  The flat part was built directly under the pitched roof (a-frame) of the main house, with all the run-off from the main house going onto it.  After 3 weeks of constant phone calls to this guy and then sending him pictures, he finally sent someone to assess the situation.  After that, it all went south! He was insisting the problem was with the flashing; which we already knew wasn't the case because we were told by 2 other contractors that it was due to the pitch going towards the house, instead of away from it.  We tried explaining to him that there was more to it than that and his response was that he would try to get a price out of some guy named John to reinstall the flashing ONLY, as that was all he could do for now.  I asked him when would he be able to do the rest of what needs to be done and was told, quote, "I'll let you work that out with John directly when he comes in and will call you."  Well that was almost 2 weeks ago (Oct 1st, today is Oct 12th) and the main house roof, fascia, soffits & gutters have all been done and we are currently shopping for someone else to remedy the sunroom roof situation.  All I can say is, "Buyer Beware".

Never communicated with me again until two years later I finally sued them and only got a portion back of my deposit.

The end result was excellent. It took 9 months to get the variance approved by our township. Once we received our permit they quickely started the job. The crew led by kevin Collins were well skilled in installing the modular system.Their language was a little crude however they were punctual and completed the installation in about 5 days. They cleaned up every day and even worked in the rain. They also installed a special roof section to allow us to have a cathedral ceiling.
