Rider furniture is a family owned full line furniture store that has bin in business in the Princeton area for over 35 years. Voted best furniture store in central New Jersey by the Princeton packet. We started years ago as a repair, refinishing, and upholstery shop that we still do today, however new furniture sales are our main business today. We carrying many name brand furniture companies as well as smaller Amish and American made companies as well. Rider furniture always discounts all of our furniture and has unbeatable customer service. We specialize in custom upholstery and have an in house interior designer.

When I called, they asked me to send dimensions and pictures of the table, then got back to me with an estimate of the price. Pickup and delivery were an extra charge. Once I agreed, they arranged to come promptly and arrived as scheduled for pickup. They took along a dining room chair so as to match the finish. The refinishing took a little less than four weeks. We are very pleased with the result, it looks like a new table.

This table was really marked up and the finish on top was a mess.  They stripped the table and put on a new finish, and the table looks like new!  Great job!

I love Rider.  When furniture shopping, I always go to three or four stores first, then I always wind up at Rider!  Shelly and his team are no-pressure and they know their stuff.  We've always found the right furniture for the right price, no problems, here.

Spoke with Cindy in person. She quoted us $6,300 for a leather sofa and a loveseat in our selected leather. We were ready to buy but suspicious about their pricing. So, we went to two other authorized dealers of the furniture we wanted to buy and priced it exactly as we did at RIDER. Same units, same leather, identical sofa and loveseat. Both priced it for us at $1,300 less and that includes delivery, setup, and removal of our old units. We gave RIDER a second chance since they were a local business and we wanteds to support local businesses. We never offered to reveal names of the other two (2) furniture srores we went to because that would be unethical. In my view, RIDER would rather sell for a higher price and get fewer sales. We bought sofa and loveseat elsewhere because of RIDER'S unwillingness to discuss pricing further. BEWARE OF THIS STORE AND MAKE SURE YOU GET THE FULL SPECS OF WHAT THEY ARE QUOTING YOU and price at least identical items at 2 more stores. In our sole opinion, they like uninformed customers.
