I called 5 electrical contractors from Angie's list . Shay Weimann was the only one to call me back the next day .One company took a week to call me back and the other three did not bother to return my call. When Shay Weimann called me back I spoke to Linda the wife of Shay . I have to say Linda was on top of her game. She was very knowledgable and answered all my questions without hesitation. I told Linda what I wanted done and she got back to me with an reasonable quote . I called some other electrical contractors that were not on Angie's and one guy wanted 3200 dollars to do the same job . I also did my research on line what this type of job would cost. Shay Weimann came in the middle when it came to pricing .What I liked the best Shay Weimann did not have to come to my house to give me a written quote they sent a written quote by e-mail. So when I got the quote by email I waited for other companies to call me back and as I stated early only one did . Their price was a little lower but they did not send a quote by email liked they said they would. In the mean time Linda called me back a couple of times to see if I got the quote . Linda asked important questions about the generator that I did not buy yet. We also talked about the permit that I would need to have the transfer box installed. I also asked her to get an extension cord from the generator to the outlet outside . She said she would have one available By the end of the week I called Linda back and got the process going. Another thing I liked she gave me multiple dates to complete the electrical work . So I chose the day after memorial day . It was perfect for me. James and mike came on time . They told me it would take 5 hours but I think they did on 3 and one half hours They were very professional and they did not mind when I was asking them questions when they were working . When we hooked the generator it was not starting . We got the book out for the generator we figured out that the generator how to be level. They showed how to use the transfer box and they made sure all the switches were labelled properly before they left. This was a big help. They went over everything before they left. They let me set set the generator so I would know what to do. Excellent work and guidance in how to use a transfer box and gas generator .A week later Linda emailed me step by step directions on how to use the transfer box and gas generator. This is truly great service. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs electrical work done

Shay's crew came and took care of the electrical issues that we had at this property. The were there for most of the day to correct the panel and the Pigtails for all of the outlets. The work performed was top notch and the guys were friendly. My one concern was even though this property wasn't in great shape, one of the guys didn't really clean up after him self . After the service, I called Shay and Linda and talked with them about this. They both agreed that their protocol is that the property be cleaner than when they got there. All in all, it was a good experience and if I had any other electrical issues to correct I would use them again.

A 10+++ experience!! Response to my request for an estimate was virtually immediate, and the price quoted was VERY reasonable. The appointment offered was within an acceptable time span; the workers were punctual, professional, polite, and neat. I would definitely use their services again in the future and can wholeheartedly recommend them to others.

I'd like to mention that his wife answered the phone and she was more then obliging. He came here right on time. He replaced 3 electrical sockets. I expected to be hit with a large bill but I wasn't. I called him for one socket and when he was here I asked him to give me an estimate on the other 2. He told me they would all be included in the work he was doing today. He said the payment covered an hour that all I had to pay for was the parts themselves. I was very pleased with him and his wife. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again.

Similar to the other reviews, from the office to the workmen, everyone was so great. Shay was able to fit into our schedule and we were even about to use an "Angie's List" coupon.

The work involved troubleshooting why my attic fan had stopped working. Shay came out on a service call and determined the motor was burned out and thermostat control was dead, I asked for a written estimate and it was promptly provided by email! After reviewing the detailed estimate and consulting a few other contractors for price comparison, I agreed to a replacement attic fan. Shay and his 2 man crew arrived on time and on date specified. All were extremely polite and professional throughout the job. Everything was clearly explained to me and I was even emailed a link to a website with the replacement fan, so I could review specs. I am very pleased with the workmanship and entire experience and will definitely contact Shay for future electrical needs. One of his crew also pointed out that I needed new pitch cups for a roof pipe and suggested a roofer would handle that. Next stop is finding a roofer on Angie's List!

I contacted Shay a little over a year ago one late Friday when I had returned home from work to find the power had died in my family room. It was simple GFI issue, and as he was prompt, courteous, and reasonably-priced, I promised I'd call him when I got around to replacing light fixtures in my recently-purchased home (built in 1979). I called Shay this April to have him come out and do the work listed above. Linda was professional and courteous (as always) and scheduled the earliest available date, which was the first week of May. James and Ryan arrived at about 11 AM and started work immediately. Despite some temperamental light fixtures, and one needed trip for a part that was not available on the truck, they guys finished the job by about 6:00 that evening. Everything appeared to be in order, but I discovered (after they had left unfortunately) that one of the circuits was not operating. After calling Linda, she sent them out first thing the next morning and they repaired the issue in about 2 hours (no additional charge despite the fact that it was far from clear that the issue was related to the work they had done). While the above work was relatively straightforward, there were a few unexpected challenges (aren't there always?) For example, in attempting to install the 4-way switch that would allow me to turn off the upstairs hallway light from outside the MBR, it was discovered that the switch box would have to be placed in an extremely odd location (in view of the location of a stud. James came up with a clever, simple, and efficient solution to resolve this. In fact, I saw him do that for most of the day when confronted with some other challenges. As with Shay, both guys were courteous and professional, and I called Linda to tell her that. She was most appreciative to hear that. I would highly recommend them and plan to use them going forward as I replace and/or repair other electrical items/issues.

Shay provided best competitive estimate - I looked into 4 and his was the best price. He was very prompt and professional and explained what needed to be done. We decided to "hold" on project for now, but will definitely consider using him when we are ready to move forward with project.

Shay and his helper showed up on time and fixed some outlets in our basement, fixed the outlets outside of the house and installed a new electrical panel in the basement. We had a little problem with the Verizon box when Shay moved it to make room for the new panel. The box broke and we had no phone or tv for a few days. We needed to contact Verizon and they installed a new box, for which we were reimbursed by Shay.

Very well. James showed up on time ,did his work,cleaned up and I was happy with the service.

I had Shay out for an estimate to do some electrical work and to ask him about unused electrical wires. He gave me a fair estimate (much better than the other estimate I got from another company), and we ended up booking him about a month later to do the work. 2 of his employees came to the home and did all the work that was listed in the proposal, and cleaned up nicely. The guys also anwsered some questions I had regarding various other things. Overall, I was very satisfied with the work, and would use (and recommend) them again. I like the honestly and professionalism!

I found this company on Angies list. Shay arrived within a few minutes of our 10:00 a.m. appointment. The work took about 4 hours which was done without breaks/lunch. Shay reviewed my list of which circuits I wanted wired before he began. At the end, he started and attached the generator and checked to see all circuits were correct and working properly. Site was completely clean when he left. Price was exactly the same as estimate.

Excellent experience! Called his office last week and spoke to Linda, who handles scheduling. Linda took my information in detail and asked me to describe the existing switches/outlets so Shay could bring the needed supplies instead of charging for two trips. Shay arrived exactly when she said he would, and because I had given Linda some incorrect information, had to run out and get a part anyway but didn't charge me extra. The job was done very quickly, looks great (all switches in the kitchen match, which is why Shay ran out to get the part - he could have put something in that was close but not perfect, but didn't want to do that - and everything works now. Price was good - the part for the upgraded switch was $88 of the total $213 spent. I am very pleased overall and have asked Shay for an estimate on a much larger project I need to do here - I now consider him "my electrician" after seven years of working with a few other companies.

Shay did an excellent job with the electrical work. I would use him again in the future.

Shay Weimann Electric was professional from start to finish. I spoke with Linda numerous times as there some reschedules on our part and she was always kind and professional. Two electricians showed up right on time on day of repair. They were also extremely professional. Laid out prices and exactly what was to be done. They also very patiently explained why aluminum wiring needed to be repaired and all the different scenarios. All in all, the prices were fair, they were honest and a pleasure to do business with. I would absolutely hire them again.

He did a very good job, I highly recommend him! He was very helpful. I called them and they came out and fixed the problem the same day.

The electrical box was replaced quickly and the work done was excellent.

Shay is the electrician and his wife Linda does the scheduling. They have the process down pat. The job was fantastic. Although it worked that day, one outlet didn't work later. Shay came right back and fixed it no charge. I have dealt with many contractors, Shay and Linda have been the best ever. If you need electrical work done, you can't go wrong with Shay Weimann Electrical.

He was good, a bit expensive, but he was good.

Shay and Linda were very professional, have great follow up, and the price is fair. We intend on using them again for our electrical work.
