Jeruco Home Improvements

We hired Jeruco back in July 2011. I was not an Angie's List member at the time and the issues that I have had during the years have added to the pain that I am dealing with now which is why I am writing this review. John came out to conduct a sit down with us. John was very friendly despite the fact that he kept us in this sit down for almost 6-hours. At first, it appeared they did a good job with installing the siding on all three of the walls except the front. Everything seemed fine from the outside however they left me without exterior lights on the side of the house as well as the back of the house. I called them and they sent a foreman over to look into it (nothing was ever repaired). It was until recently (2017) that I had to hire an electrician to repair and activate all of these lights. Additionally, they completely removed the air vent from the range and covered it up with the siding (why? I don't know to this day.). Here is where the real problem kicked in... Unbeknownst to me, I've had a steady and consistent leak around the frame of my side door. The two air pipes from my central forced air system were located above the side door of the house. Jeruco's workers cut the pipes "flush" and their ends remained inside of the wall. They installed vent caps on the surface to give it a good look. Over time, the water created from the condensation would leak inside the wall and around the frame. Since then, I have lost both the storm door, the aluminum door frame, and some of the wood around the door. I've had to hire a "real" and "knowledgeable" contractor to gut out the door and perform a proper job to replace everything. Despite the fact that they left me without any working lights outside of the house, I hired them again for another job on my other home (review for that will follow). To no surprise, this job too was a problem. I've learned my lesson with this contractor. Their price may be decent but they lack complete quality. You would think that they would do an exceptional job the second time around when you give them more business. I will never hire them again nor recommend them to anyone.

I met with nine guys for estimates.  I chose Jeruco for a number of reasons.  They had one of the best prices, but I also looked at their work on other houses and it looked great!  I was very happy with the job they did.  My siding still looks great a year later, including all the trim.  The roof looks great too.  They even sealed a leak around my pipe and chimney from a previous roofers' job.  I am happy with them.  He quoted me a good price and stuck to it.  It didn't cost a penny more than on the estimate.

It went very well. A little more expensive than us hiring siding contractors and buying the siding ourselves but we are developers so for any homeowner looking for a trustworthy and good contractor for siding I totally recommend Jerico.

I seriously question Jeruco's qualification in the roofing business. I also question if they ever have the basic ethics to do business honestly and responsibly.
The skylights to be covered are ~50'' wide and by code 2x6 lumbers need to be used to support the roof . The 2x6s need to be secured to the beam of the skylights by hangers. Jeruco tried twice. First time they used 2x4 lumbers to support the roof, but the real fun is that the lumbers were not even secured to the beams! In other word, there is no support to the added roof at all! if someone stands on that part of the roof, he would fall into the hole. And I serious doubt it could hold up the heavy snows in NJ winter. I asked my neighbor, a former builder, to take a look, and his comment was "it's a kid's work".
I complained it and they sent in another "framing expert" to fix the mess. (Therefore I  believe the guys did the roof didn't know what they were doing and shouldn't even be used at very beginning). This guy still didn't use 2x6 lumbers. Instead he used more 2x4 lumbers to patch it around the existing ones and connect them to beams using 2x4. hangers. My town inspector came in and looked at the job, and his comment was "a horrible job".
Since Jeruco repeatedly failed to do things in the right way, I have to hire another contractor to clear the mess before the winter storm could damage my roof. Jeruco still didn't reimburse me the extra expenses as of today.  I filed a complaint to BBB and they responded with tons of excuses and lies, and used insulting languages, like claiming me have "language  barrier", and my complaint that the roof was not supported after their first try was a "farce", and my worry about roof leak caused by their lousy work was "paranoia".
Good luck if you want to hire them to do any roof work!

I had three estimates,  jeruco's price was competitive with the rest,  But there seemed to be a trust factor with this company. I was right as they did everything they said they would do in terms of time frame, budget, quality of work, and professionalism. I was able to reach the project manager and the coordinator on their cell phones quite easily and it was a pleasurable experience. Overall I am happy with everything they did.

Shopped around to get a better feel of what today?s market had in place for roofing and siding, in regards to materials used and pricing.   Spoke to many salesman and most were not thorough and didn't even bother to call back to see if we had any additional questions. 
We took Jeruco Remodeling/Home Improvements information down when a neighbor used them.  When we called Ruben he was patient, listened to what our needs and wants were, and gave us options and illustrations of past homes he had remodeled. 
We had Ruben come to our home to give us estimates on two occasions because we wanted to upgrade additional things along the way ? Ruben came gladly and we didn't feel pressured or rushed.  
 We wanted the best materials used and the latest technology for our home without breaking the bank.   Ruben did exactly that!  The entire job took approximately 10 days; we?re happy to have chosen him and his team.    Ruben oversaw all work completed on a daily basis and also asked if we were happy on how things were progressing in terms of speed and efficiency; which made us feel at ease because it showed he cared about his reputation, our business, and possible referrals.
The results were so good that our neighbors were giving us two thumbs up when they drove by our house, and some even requested Jeruco's information for future remodeling to their home.

I have nothing but praises for Ruben and his workers .. They were considerate and neat and his integrity left us feeling extremely satisfied.. He is a perfectionist and it shows in the finished product..Ruben was extremely helpful with decisions regarding colors and decorative trim from his experience ..I would highly recommend his company .. I wish we knew of him and his company when we did some previous construction on our home.. We have been in the process of possibly purchasing another home that was in need of exterior work and I would trust him to be fair and get the job done right..in a heartbeat..

The work was done with full satisfaction, including some extra work like replace some windows and doors, newer laundry room,  the work was done from permit from township to the last inspection,  I am so satisfied, very much happy and enjoying the work that  Jeruco did in my house.  I would refer or recommend Jeruco Home Improvement for addition, roofing, siding, specially kitchen. I will hire Jeruco in my next project when I am ready.

It took about two and a half days to complete all the repairs. All the damaged area were properly repaired. The work was explained to me in detail by Rueben. They cleaned up the area around my home very well even though there was some snow on the ground. My home is again water-tight and looking uniform. Can't ask for more than that.

I used Jeruco for a tear off roofing job on my cape style house.  After getting several estimates they had a very good price but were very professional and courteous.  I dealt with Ruben the entire time.  He was available day or night if I needed to contact him and kept me in the loop every step of the way from the estimate to getting permits from the township to the actual day of the job.  The poor crew got the worst day to work, it was very cold and windy.  Some materials blew into my neighbors yard and they cleaned up everything.  When they finished about 8 hours later I had a brand new roof and no debris on my property.  I have since moved to another house which also needs a roof and will be calling Jeruco again.
