V & J Plastering

We recently had a second floor toilet leak for ten days while we were away on vacation.  The water leaked down to our first floor, totally destroying a dining room wall, hall ceiling and bathroom ceiling.  Our home has plaster walls, and I feared I would never be able to find a contractor who could replace the plaster walls and ceilings.  Our insurance adjuster suggested V&J Construction, having worked with them in the past.  The only other plaster contractor I could find in northern NJ wanted $90.00 just to look at the job.  At first I thought V&J's price was high, it being almost 4 times the price of replacing the wall and ceilings with sheetrock.  But we really wanted to replace with plaster, and so we proceeded with V&J.
Let me say that these guys are true artists!  A partner was on the job at all times, and their employees are experts at their craft.  They arrived promptly - worked diligently throughout the day - and always cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day.  They are currently doing final finish work after being on the job for almost a week.  The new walls and ceilings are just as perfect as could be wished for.  Smooth as glass!  Perfectly constructed in every detail.  After seeing the time and effort these guys put in and the quality of the finished product, I no longer think their price was high.  In fact, I would say it was very reasonable given the level of craftsmanship.  The plaster walls they rebuilt are infinitely superior to sheetrock.
I can't say enough positive about V&J.  I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend them.

They do a good job and they understand what they are doing. They are difficult to contact and difficult to schedule because they're just really good. It was just a small job so they try to fit me in and actually came in on a Saturday. The quality of their work is just top-notched. They are highly professional and probably the best in terms of stucco work anyone in the area.
