The Blind Dept & More

One was done in May and one was done in January, of I think the following year. What happened was, the floor buckled and they wouldn't fix it. I complained to Better Business Bureau but it didn't do any good. I put in flooring so I know how to do it. I had to go and repair the flooring but I got another flooring guy to fix it also. What happened was, when they put the flooring in in January, it was very dry then so when the summer time came, in humidity the floor expanded and buckled so it was wavy towards the walls, on either side of the walls. So when we took the floor apart and looked at it, they didn't use the right fasteners. They didn't know how to put the floor in correctly.  I guess the price was probably an average price. I had to keep calling them to come back and look at the floors. Finally after 3 or 4 phone calls, they came, looked at it and that was it. They left and I haven't heard from them again.

Everything went smoothly. They are very patient and friendly.

They did a great job and their pricing, while expensive, was competitive. The overall quality of the craftsmanship on the shutters the sell is a B+ but overall no complaints. We were happy with the service they provided. We would use them again.

Bob and Frank couldn't have been more attentive. I really wasn't sure what kind of carpeting would be durable, yet comfortable enough in the den, so they spent a lot of time showing me the different styles and types of carpets. The shutters were custom made. Frank came to the house to measure so that they fit perfectly. I had done quite a bit of research and shopping at other flooring and blind companies, and I found that Blind Dept gave the time and personal service for a good price. I really recommend them.

Since the windows are not all standard sized, I was worried about costs or sizing but the job was completely custom and looks fabulous. The two gentleman that run the business could not be nicer and easier to deal with . They were responsive, gave good information and had cost effective ideas for our windows. The price includes custom blinds (2 in faux wood with a beautiful header) They are high quality and literally no hassle for transforming my rooms. They had a variety of colors, which allowed me to match my antique woodwork perfectly, and kitchen cabinets with just the right shade of antique white. From making a final decision, a home vist for measurement, manufacturing and their installation - all of it was done in less than 10 days. I have referred them to others. GREAT experience.

I have been using these guys (Frank and Bob) for several years. They did my living room (installed a less expensive version of illusion blinds), my laundry room and kitchen (white faux wood blinds), my dining room (top down/bottom up cellulars). the dining room install are an example of how they can save you some $$. I wanted an espresso colored cellular-Frank recommended the same cellular in a slightly lighter color because they had that fabric in stock and were able to manufacture them in-house. This saved me a significant amount of money-enough that i was able to pay the upcharge for top down/bottom up (what a pleasure-not having any hanging cords, not to mention much safer for homes with small children).

I just ordered roman shades for a bedroom/dressing suite which were quite costly. Since i am covering one window with wall-to-wall drapery, Frank suggested a simple blackout shade for that window, which he threw in gratis.

I have been using this company for my window treatments for over 15 years. I don't even "shop around"...I go directly to them. They have their own factory as well as provide the typical name brand manufacturers. They are professional, trustworthy, local, easy to work with, have a great selection and I have never had a problem. What more can you ask for??

They were very nice to me and helpful while I was trying to pick out exactly what I wanted. They gave me pricing up front and explained how much each option would cost me. The girl that was there was very helpful.
