Devin went above and beyond to make sure the problem was resolved and wouldn't reoccur. His pricing was competitive and when the final invoice was produced, he was well within the limits of his estimate. He even helped select the right LED lights to make the fountain "pop". "I recently had the pleasure of working with Erik from First State Ponds, and I can't recommend him enough. Erik traveled all the way from Delaware to Maryland to service my pond, which was having persistent issues with murky water. Before connecting with Erik, I had already been advised by another company to purchase a specific filter and pump. Thankfully, I found First State Ponds just in time. Erik took the time to explain that while the recommended filter might clear my water, it would require constant maintenance. He suggested a different filter and a stronger pump, but he was also willing to install the one I had already purchased if I preferred. After some consideration, I decided to take his advice and returned the original filter to have him install his recommended system. After struggling with murky water all summer, l admit, I was a bit skeptical. I wasn't sure that anything would truly work. But Erik's recommendation exceeded even his own predictions. Within just two days, the water was crystal clear! I didn't really think that was possible. There were a few challenges during installation and I admit this was 100% due to a few things I had set up prior to meeting Erik. But he handled them seamlessly, troubleshooting as needed. For the issues that couldn't be addressed that day, Erik provided me with helpful suggestions on how to finish the job myself. While I initially found the price a little high, after seeing the fantastic results, answering my many questions (including a few the following day), and delivering on everything he promised, I can confidently say he earned every cent. "Jeff at Nova was great to work with. He listened to what I wanted, provided feedback, and together we agreed on a plan. His quote was clear and complete and while it was not the cheapest, it was reasonable for the work. He proactively provided his insurance coverage which I found very professional. While we did have a few hiccups (equipment delay) during the project, Jeff kept me informed and was present on the job site. "This is the second time within a year that I have used Mike Sposato of Sposato’s Chimney and Masonry Contractors. Both times the service has been excellent. This time I had a basement with an inch or more of standing water. For years my basement seemed to stay reasonably dry with a system of channels to direct water around the basement to a floor drain that I believe was tied to the outside rain gutter drain. Over the past few years, this system had slowed down, and then completely collapsed this spring during all the snow and rain. Additionally, I believe the water table on my property rose for some unknown reason. Mike came on Saturday, April 21st. Immediately, he said, “This is an emergency. You need a sump pump. I will come Monday at 8 am and install the pump. Once the basement dries out, we will see what else may needs to be done.” On Monday, April 23, his workers were here at 8:15, and Mike came by two times to review their work and give instructions, in addition to staying in phone contact with his team. By 5:30, the basement had been pumped out, the new pump was installed, and the basement was on its way to drying up. There has been remarkable improvement. The sump pump installation was $2,500. I also reviewed with Mike ways to correct some preventable leaks around the foundation, the windows and the Bilco doors. The proposal for this work is for an additional $1,000. Meanwhile, I am watching for other leaks that might need repair, and installing, upon Mike’s recommendation, a dehumidifier to take care of the basement humidity. These are modest corrections that do not cause a big disruption of my household. I am very appreciative of this conservative approach that Mike has taken, not to mention the fast service, which I am certain was not easy for him to provide since he is currently very busy. The contrast between his service and the proposal I received from a large multi-state basement water proofing company is unbelievably dramatic. For 7 times the total for the sump pump, exterior foundation work and humidifier, they were offering to do the work in July! Both times that Mike has done work for me, he has impressed me with his knowledge and honesty and his commitment to do the right thing for the customer as opposed to selling an unnecessarily expensive job."

"Hired them to do a concrete driveway (two and half cars wide from two cars wide) and a step up to front/side porch concrete underneath, with pavers on top. I had a blacktop driveway, concreate walkway, grass and 4 large bushes that needed to be removed before any work can be done. The staff is professional, efficient and friendly. Highly recommend!"

"Our patio was completely rebuilt with new pavers for $$,$$$. Almost immediately the pavers started to collapse. Initially they came out to do repairs, and kept saying this shouldn't be happening and seemed perplexed why this kept on occurring. It is now the 6th or 7th time in 2 years this has happened, and after repeated phone calls/emails....they WILL NOT respond. In my opinion....they're crooks! Save your money!! Any landscaping business with integrity would get to the bottom of this issue...instead of plopping a bandage on it. And just to be clear...our previous patio never had this issue."
