Eastern diagnosed the issue and ordered the required parts. It took about a week for them to come back to install everything. I cut them a bit of slack since it was a very hot period and I'm sure the high temps were making it hard to keep up with the amount of A/C jobs out there. In the end, they fixed the broken transformer and replaced a few things that previous contractors had broken. In the end, I have a working A/C unit again.
