Brought my dog to them for the first time today and they were great! Very nice, caring, and fast. Can't beat the price either, will definitely return.

They are really good and excellent. They are number one. They really are very attentive to our pets and they know all the pets. They really enjoy their work. The first visit was about eighty bucks.

We've been taking our two dogs to Boulevard Clinic for 12 years now and we're very satisfied with their professionalism and their knowledge of how to deal with certain things such as illnesses with the dogs. I would highly recommend them.

We took Grania, a smart and sweet little cat who’d been a member of our family for 10 years, to Boulevard Veterinary Clinic in Kenilworth, NJ to have a dime-sized growth removed from her shoulder. We were not advised of any possible complications or given any indication the size or scope of the procedure would go beyond removal of the small growth. We got Grania back that evening with a gruesome-looking four-inch slash across her back. One of her front paws had had a tourniquet applied tightly, apparently for an IV tube for her procedure, but Boulevard had not bothered to remove it before they released her to us. Her paw had swelled up to cartoonish – and obviously painful – proportions, and she was incapable of walking. Grania, after spending the night in obvious discomfort, began bleeding steadily the next day. We called Boulevard Veterinary, and they told us to bring her in. We did, and they kept us waiting in the waiting room. They finally put us into an examination room, but the wait for a vet continued and continued. Ultimately, we had to shout “Help! Help! Bleeding cat in here – can anybody help?” Only then did she receive attention. Boulevard Veterinary kept Grania overnight for observation. We called the next morning and were told she might need a blood transfusion and that we should phone again between 4 and 5 p.m. They called us at about 4:30 p.m. and told us Grania was in serious shape. They had not given her a transfusion. They said we might want to take her to a 24-hour-a-day veterinary hospital where she could be under observation and care through the night because Boulevard is not staffed overnight (we were not informed the previous day, when we left Grania overnight at Boulevard for observation, that she would spend the night alone and bleeding, with neither observation nor care). We said we would take her to Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. Boulevard told us to take our time and assured us several times they would contact Red Bank, would let it know we were coming with our cat, and would advise it about the cat’s condition. We picked Grania up and sped to Red Bank, where she went into respiratory arrest shortly after we arrived. Despite an emergency transfusion and every effort by the Red Bank staff, she died. No one we talked to at Red Bank, incidentally, had heard anything from anyone at Boulevard Veterinary Clinic about Grania. We had been going to Boulevard Veterinary for almost 25 years, starting with our last cat. We trusted Boulevard, as it had given our last cat good care (though we never had to take her in a surgical procedure). We continued to trust Boulevard, even as the waiting room became more crammed with people, even as there was turnover in staff veterinarians, even as the care became a little more impersonal. That’s why, we tell ourselves, we didn’t press Boulevard before the procedure about its scope and possible complications. We should have been more cognizant, we should have asked questions, we should not have trusted Grania to Boulevard. We’ll always feel bad that we did, and we’ll always miss that bright, loving little cat.

The clinic did get us in quickly, however, the quality of service was disappointing. Both of my dogs received shots, I found out later that I paid almost double what the industry standard is for the area. I had to board my dogs while we were on vacation. I had boarded my animal at a Petsmart Pet Hotel that had a Banfield hospital in it. I visited the hospital when I dropped off my dogs to inquire about the cost of shots as I felt that the cost I paid was very high. I found out that what I was charged was almost double what is customary for the area and service performed. My dog also has a skin irritation that they had no concern in addressing or trying to find out what is causing.

OVERALL, MY EXPERIENCE WAS ALRIGHT. THERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT NEED IMPROVEMENT. YOU HAVE TO WAIT 20 TO 45 MINUTES EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. I THINK THEY ARE OVERPRICED, BUT THEN AGAIN, ALL VETS ARE OVERPRICED.

MY CAT HAS ALLERGIES, SO THE VETERINARIAN MAKES SURE TO TAKE THAT INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN CHECKING HIM. WE GET RIGHT IN AT THE TIME OF OUR APPOINTMENT BUT IT IS RATHER EXPENSIVE. OUR CAT IS ALWAYS READY TO PLAY WHEN HE GETS BACK.

AS LONG AS I ASK FOR THE DOCTOR I WANT, I HAVE NO PROBLEMS. I THOUGHT THAT THE PRICE WAS A LITTLE HIGH. IT IS EASY TO GET AN APPOINTMENT AND I NEVER HAVE TO SIT IN THE WAITING ROOM LONG.
