Description of Work: These people are complete clowns. Do not hire them. I have zero respect for them after what they did, we never built a deck before and we knew the deck was a mess, we fired them after they framed the deck. We ended up building the deck ourselves. We hired them to build a 12 X 12 ft deck. Every imaginable thing was wrong. 1. Unprofessional 2. Don’t listen 3. Frame was 9 inches off square 4. We built the deck ourselves after they did a horrible job and found out an underground sump pump PVC pipe was broken that they broke and didn’t tell us, no wonder they didn’t put a 4x4 there. The ground was disturbed, a 4x4 had to go in the exact spot where the pipe was broken. No other spot on the pipe was broken. So we had to spend 2 hours fixing the pipe and put a concrete block on top of the pipe and put the 4X4 on top of the block. 5. They mostly use nails, not screws 6. They failed inspection 7. They didn’t use deck screws 8. Their header beam wasn’t in the right spot 9. Instead of buying 12 ft boards for a 12 foot deck these clowns bought 6 ft boards. The deck was 9 inches off square which means they would have to custom cut 2 boards per row instead of using one board 10. We had a concrete patio poured after these morons built the frame which made the patio slightly crooked (9 inches) becuase we had to rebuild the entire deck to make it square. 11. They refused to use white plastic finishes they told me I had to use white paint and argued with me. 12. They told me the header beam wasn’t necessary and that since we have young kids they were doing us a favor. Every contractor we talked to said the header beam is mandatory. 13. Their stairs they had cut would not have been long enough and that’s what they were going to use. 14. These morons instead of buying long enough 4x4s to attach the railing to, they were too short so they cut off the 4x4 tops and planned to reattach separate 4x4s somehow to the deck. 15. Their brackets were attached incorrectly & had to redo them all, ha king out all their stupid nails👏 16. They incorrectly attached 4x4s to frame, they didn’t drill a hole straight through 4x4 to put a bolt, they only drilled a thin bolt somewhat through the 4x4s. How is that secure to hold up the entire deck? 17. The inspection diagram didn’t match their frame, they had 8x8s on the diagram, but these clowns used 6x6s on the frame👏👏 18. They didn’t use proper water protection against the house We had to quotes to fix their disaster and the contractors said they had no clue how to build a deck. We ended up building the deck ourselves, we had to chip every 4x4 out of concrete and re-cement and re-position all of them to get the deck square. We ended up not using any of their wood except one board. So we lost money because they’re morons. These people are the worst experience I’ve ever had with a contractor, I have zero respect for them especially after they didn’t tell us that they broke the underground pipe. Do not hire them for any project!
