MAN AROUND THE HOUSE INC.

this was a full kitchen and bathroom renovation and replacing the wall between the living room and the bedroom with sliding glass and onyx. there was no contract given just initial estimates and then additional work with done without providing quotes and after the fact there were charges being made without authorization. work started 5 months ago and would halt for weeks at a time with no progress and no communication. finally we got a contract in place and all of the dates slipped significantly with no communication. my place is a disaster and I'm having trouble getting additional contractors take it over because of the condition the apartment was left in. there were over 13 bags of the debris sitting around my new hardwood floors and the place look like a hazmat area. The bathroom tile floor looked like a child had done it, it was so uneven you would stub your toe walking across it. When I had to fire him, he did not give me the name of the subs so that I could have my rough electrical inspection completed. he is also held onto to Ptac and my toilet amounted to about 3,000 dollars worth of materials. Chronic liar and literally none of the items he said he completed were actually finished (in both senses of the word). Since he always supposedly had this or that problem and since his work had come recommended, I stayed working with this guy way too long.
