Hutch Mechanical Sewer Draining

We hired Byron Hutchinson of Hutch Mechanical for plumbing services for two new bathrooms and one kitchen for our home renovation. He talked the talk and walked the walk, even offering good suggestions but we started to notice problems early on. After receiving the down payment for the job he did not show up to work on the scheduled day or days following. We could reach him by phone but he was always a bit aggressive, indicating that we couldn't "push him" and that he had to do the work at his own pace. Because we were already into the job for the $3500 down payment, we made the bad decision to keep him on after he finally showed up for the job. A few days into the job, he called us to say he needed another $2500 for copper and other supplies. A day after paying him this amount we received a disturbing call from our construction contractor. He told us that we needed to get over to the property asap. When we arrived he showed us all of the errors in Byron's plumbing job. He had destroyed all of the beams supporting our first floor bathroom, by putting huge holes through them to run the pipes. Our contractor also pointed out the wrong placement of bathroom rough in plumbing and told us he was sure none of the work would pass code upon inspection. He also said that he had become concerned when Byron kept asking him for advice and seemed to know very little about roughing in plumbing. We fired Byron that day and tried to recover some of the money we had paid him. But he stopped taking our calls and disappeared.
