Sean and his crew renovated my condo after a flood damage in early January. This is our first remodel project and prior to working with a contractor, we've heard pretty negative stories about GCs in general. And to our surprise, Sean was the exact opposite of what we've heard. Communication - I would rate myself as a very responsive person and because the remodel happened after a flood damage, I was quite in an urgent situation and was eager to get the project finished. Sean communicated with us in a very timely manner and on many occasions, live - as they perform a specific task within the unit. He responds to my texts throughout the night on matters and feedbacks I provided (re: inspection at end of day on a daily basis). Project timeline - we finished the entire project (lighting, kitchen, drywall repair, painting, floor installation, room re-arrangement, door/trim, baseboards, everything but tiles in the bathroom) within 5 weeks (which was my target). While there are glitches during the project, Sean was very honest and frank about the project and always communicated about the progress and delays if any. He arranged the day-to-day work appropriately so it uses the best of his crews' time and meet our deadline at the same time. Quality of Work - i can't complain about the integrity that goes to the work. Sean will be sure to modify and change anything that I expect, and if he doesn't, he would make sure he explains it so I can accept the reasons behind them. That's very important to me as a client. Even after the project ended, when we saw the need for minor fixes after we moved back in, Sean stopped by on several occasions to fix those things. Pricing - Sean's quote was very reasonable and he provided an extremely detailed breakdown of the costs (materials and labor). We know what we are getting, and it was this level of transparency that ultimately led us to hire him for the job. During the project, he provided receipts and if there are any incremental costs not foreseen before, he'd communicate that prior to purchasing. In the end, we spent maybe just a little over $1k more than the quote (which is VERY GOOD) compared to many stories I've heard. He even assisted in providing information to my insurance company for the claim, and was very happy to do it. Overall, I think he's professional and certainly added an extremely positive reputation to his industry. I would certainly work with him again in the future and have already recommended him to several neighbors.

I got three quotes before choosing a contractor. Sean Carriere's quote was very competitive. He offered to charge me for labor and I could supply my own materials, should I want to go that route. I ended up opening an account at Home Depot and giving Sean the card. I check all receipts and there never were any issues. He even returned product he didn't use for a credit even without telling me. I only found out when I saw the credit on my statement. His work is nothing less then first class. I wanted a perfect house and that is exactly what Sean gave me. He was right on budget. When I requested any additions or changes, he either give me a quote or in many case, did them at no additional charge. When he ran into an issue that he underestimated, he addressed the issue and never came to me for any extra money. When the building department gave him a problem, he dealt with it. When the plumbing sub-contractor he used made an error and required work to be redone, he dealt with it. When the container company that we hired to remove the garbage tried to double bill my credit card, he dealt with it. In a nutshell, he made the project painless for my by jumping on the grenade numerous time. Sean started on the day he said he would start and he was PERSONALLY on the job site every day until the job was finished. I have worked with many other contractors over the years, some good, some horrible, but none as good as Sean. I can only say positive things about him. Comment from my wife: I am extremely particular with interior and exterior work. Both Sean and my husband at first thought I was going overboard in my choices for a rental property. But Sean's execution of my ideas and the products he gave me to choose from re windows, inside/outside window trim, siding (style and color), doors, flooring, moldings, trim, granite, etc., made the finished product exceed my expectations. Sean's work and work ethic are top-rate. He is always on time, puts in a full day and is always on site with his crew. There were a few times I wanted something done but didn't know how to make it happen in the space. Sean was always able to think about it for a day or so and come up with a solution. He never has a negative attitude; he's always positive and enthusiastic. Satisfying his clients is his goal. As well as the repairs to our own home, we have lined up Sean and his crew to do the work on our next two projects. He is the best contractor I've ever worked with, and I hope he's always available to do work whenever we need work done.

Sean and his crew were punctual, knowledgeable, and efficient during the project. They completed the project in the amount of time, and for the amount of money, that they originally estimated. I will definitely use them again.

Everything went really well once the work began.  Sean and team did really excellent work and we are so happy with how everything turned out. And they were able to install it pretty quickly (~1,100 sq ft crown molding and 3 door casings in 3 workings days).  We had really only 1 hiccup, including a cable line being hit during installation but Sean was able to quickly identify the problem and fix it easily (although if he hadn't he said he'd come back to fix it free of charge!).  Sean was also great in that he picked up the molding from Home Depot for me as I could not fit it in my car, and he also picked up other required supplies (which I reimbursed him for) at Home Depot as well (for me this is very important because I am not handy at all and would most certainly buy the wrong things).  Overall, working with Sean has been great, and I am already planning to use him again for additional projects (in fact we are currently scheduling more work to be done in September). I highly recommend their services!

Excellent. Sean and his workers are courteous, trustworthy, and very professional. They worked at my home for 3 days and were on time everyday and made appropriate recommendations when needed. Reasonable priced and will use again.

We discussed at length and detail the work that needed to be performed. Sean seemed to be very competent and problems solving. Aside from what was his list of assignments he also helped me bringing in a piece of furniture which was a real courtesy to me. To make that happen he had to redo one of his own jobs and I very much appreciated his patience.

It worked out pretty well. They came out a week after. They came in very on time. They were very responsive and very professional. They did a very good job.

The original cement border of our stone sidewalk had fallen away within the first few years after the initial installation. The lack of a border caused many of the pavers to fall off the sidewalk and onto the street. Each year more stones shifted away from the building and towards the street creating a potential hazard for pedestrians. Sean and his associate from Carriere Construction quickly repaired the sidewalk by replacing missing and damaged stones and poured a wide cement border reinforced with steel rebar. Sean communicated effectively and was always available to answer any questions.

I cannot say enough good things about Carriere Construction!  The work completed was excellent, and he was easy to work with-- prompt responses to my texts, phone calls, and emails and flexible in working around my crazy schedule.  And he was great with my dogs!  I ended up expanding my original list of tasks for him to complete and adding an extra day of work for him because he was so good.  I will definitely be contacting him again when I have future home repair and improvement projects!

Sean is a great guy to work with and is generally one of my go to guys when I need work done on my multiple properties.  Although he is a general contractor, he can handle light electrical and plumbing work that is sometimes incidental to the general contracting scope of work for a project.  This comes in handy when you don't want to deal with a separate plumber or electrician for small jobs (i.e. installing a light fixture, switch, fixing a leak, etc.).
Unlike many other contractors I've come across, he is very reliable, trustworthy, hard working and responsive.  I trust leaving him alone with his team in my own home and in my tenants' apartments.  I've texted him many times in the evenings during projects, and he always responds even though it's outside of work hours.  He is always professional and shows up on time, and takes pride in his work.  There have been a few (rare) occassions where some of his work months after the fact started showing some issues, and he offered to fix it without complaining since he takes responsibility for the quality of his work.  When working around an occupied home or apartment, he makes sure the place is kept clean during and after the work is complete.  He'll take the time to properly prepare the work site by covering floors and furniture, and moving belongings out of the way.  Although we agree on the budget and scope prior to starting a project, he'll remain flexible allowing me to change things along the way.  When dealing with rehabs of old homes, this is helpful since sometimes you don't know what existing conditions might look like until you discover them.  He is pretty tech savvy (text messages, emails estimates, has a website, etc.).  Overall, I highly recommend him for small or large projects.

Found him on Craig's list, chose him over a couple of other contractors I had evaluated during initial estimation process. Explained him the work needs to be done. Very straight forward and honest about his opinions about your requirements. He usually brings his team based on the kind of work you want to get done. He then gives you the duration he is going to work. Usually sticks to mutually agreed timeline. He takes great interest on your work, making sure you are satisfied at the end of the day even though its annoying/tiresome on his side. The things I liked about him are his honesty and professionalism. He's very energetic which you would expect from any construction worker, very committed to work, he really understands your requirements and comes up with good ideas, he's always punctual. Based on my experience with him he is The 'can fix everything' guy. Besides major work; he can get a lot of small things done as well. If they are trivial he doesn't even charge you. ( the reviews are solely mine and based on my experience with this business)

Sean Carriere was referred to me by a mutual friend,  I had called Sean  and exlplain to him my problem with my lock to my condo ,  he came looked  and told me what had to be done.  When he  was here I had asked him what does he charge to paint,   and then I had asked him what could i do to my kitchen floor<  I had old vinyl tile on floor  he  told me I could put down laminate flooring for you.  When he was here i had asked him how much to do everything that night he sent me an email  with his estimate,  he is really reasonable   I would recommend him to everyone I know.  And he is very professional  about his work
