Kieran was incredibly professional. He arrived exactly on time and started working immediately. He covered every single area of the room in plastic before doing any plaster. He finished in a timely fashion and cleaned up the entire room before he left. It was like he was never there. He did an absolutely brilliant job!! Would hire him again in a heartbeat. He's a great guy.

I contacted them to get an estimate, they came and gave me a written estimate, I shopped around as I initially thought it was expensive, however after meeting a few other contractors, I realized that it was not that pricey as I was getting a better service and product. The walls and ceiling were repaired to perfection and I could not be happier. Would recommend - very professional, courteous and experienced.

Best Wall plastered my electrical outlets to the wall. Advertising as a professional, this should never have occurred in the first place. Pictures before and after fixed. Not much better. Had to return to replaster the ceiling and wall due to defects not covered initially.

We bought an older house that needed plaster repair as the condition of the walls, ceilings,were not great,We contacted Bestwall Plastering who came by and provided a written estimate and explained the process, time frame.they started within a week and the job went well, the end result is that our house looks like new, they used the old plastering methods not compound/spackle the whole process was clean not to much dust they were on time ,easy going and worked hard.Overall we had a great experience and would use again.

The process was great and the work impeccable. It was easy to set up the consultation, which is $75 but applies to the cost of your job should you proceed. This is well worth it as Bestwall are expert plasterers, not some fly by night home improvement shop trying to make a quick buck. Even if you don't use them the information from the consultation can be used in your planning with another contractor and almost no one knows about plaster work anymore. The work looks great and was done sooner than expected, they were willing to work weekends in order to finish as quickly as possible. And the best part, Kieran even helped me work with my insurance company so almost none of it came out of my pocket. Great experience, recommend without hesitation.

WE had a pipe break from upstairs which flooded the ceiling,walls molding. We found it hard to find a contractor who could restore plaster. We were glad to find Bestwall Plastering who provided a written estimate and also helped us with the insurance carrier. They were polite,clean on time The job took 8 days and turned out spectular. Old school plastering company.

How did it go? As bad as possible, we didn't even get past the initial phone call. The guy answer the phone, which I'm assuming is the owner, was incredibly rude. He said he would need to see the medallions before giving an estimate so we told him we would be happy to bring them into their office but that wasn't good enough for him. He wanted that $75 cost to come out our place to see the medallions. Then if you go with his business, he'll deduct from the cost. But if you decide not to go with his services, he'll rob you of $75 for driving over to your house. I read through his comments and I blamed all the Fs for picky customers but learned the hard way. STAY AWAY.

I have written over 10 good reviews here on Angies List. To find those 10 good contractors, I have interacted with over 100 bad ones, and have never posted about those. This specific provider compelled me to post a bad review. He was very rude on phone. I would never do business with this provider. He wanted to come to my house and charge 75$ even to answer initial questions. I wasn't expecting a rate estimate on phone, but he wouldn't answer anything / even related to what work can he do / he can not do without charging me 75$ to come to my home for an estimate. I don't need an estimate if you can't first tell me your availability / and ability to do the job in the time frame I am asking for. I should not have to pay for the 'estimate' to check your schedule and ability to do the job I am asking for. UPDATE (Nov 17th): The provider has responded that "they are un able to answer price related questions on phone". My questions were not related to price. My questions were related to "if they will be able to schedule it in the time frame that I am looking for, if I call them for estimate and PAY for estimate", to which they responded very rudely and unprofessionally. How can I pay for estimate, if after the estimate they tell me that they won't be able to schedule the work until spring? This guy did not even want to listen to the questions without coming for a PAID estimate.

Came. spent 15 min max, showed me a nice booklet with pictures of prior work, quoted an insane price for less than 300 square feet of space ($4900) left with a $75 check. Great hustle. Oh and never called for a follow-up. Awesome business model, drive around town and collect stacks of checks for "professional reviews/quotes" I NEED TO MAKE THIS MY BUSINESS MODEL I'LL BE RICH! I'd stay away if I had another chance. Might be $75 richer.

Tell me that unless I pay $95 they will not come out to give me an estimate

PERFECT! Kieran arrived promptly when he said he would be there, gave a fair estimate of the cost and repaired the ceiling the same day. He was very personable, professional and an expert at what he does. I could not be more pleased. I would definitely use him in the future!

Kieran responded immediately to my call to set up an appointment. He was prompt and professional in explaining what steps needed to be taken to repair the plaster walls in the 77-year old home. He and his assistant, Sergio, began their days early and completed the work as was laid out in Kieran's plan in a timely manner. They took care to work as neatly as possible, although dust from this type of work is inevitable. They cleaned up the workspace when done with the job as well. Kieran's work is exemplary. He is a true professional, and stands behind his work. We followed his advice to wait two to three weeks before painting to allow the plaster to cure. At the end of the curing period, we were getting set to paint, and noticed parts of the finish on one wall did not look as smooth as the others. I described it to Kieran as looking like the veins on the back of your hand. He came the next day to assess the problem, and repaired the sections that needed it that same day. The problem did not recur. Since then, the room has been painted and looks fine. We chose Bestwall Plastering because of the excellent reviews from other Angie's List customers, and feel confident in giving them the same excellent recommendation.

I called the company to inquire about whether they were able to perform a service (hanging drywall on a ceiling). The person who answered the phone was particularly nasty and after I asked whether they could waive their $75 estimation fee he hung up the phone on me. First impressions count, particularly in this business. Which they won't be getting any of from me.

Plumbers created an 18" break in crown moulding and three 2 foot sq holes on flat surfaces. Kieran said all work incl the crown was easy to fix, would make mold in his yard. He showed me a book of his work, I liked him. Judging by his reviews on Angie's list I was expecting a quote $1,500-$1,800. His estimate turned out to be a stunning $5,700. I asked why, he said there were 4 holes. He was out the door before I could question him further. I found another plasterer who expertly built up the crown plaster over a day and a half. This man came back for a half day the following week to paint, which Kieran's estimate didn't even cover. The two days work cost me $1,000.

Kiernan was very prompt with his replies, and gave an honest and professional opinion on what I wanted to be done and what he also suggested to be done. Once I decided to work with him, an opening was available to get the job done within the next couple of days. He and his crew came on time and was able to complete the wall and ceiling within 5-6 hours. They brought in their own equipment and covered and cleaned up during and afterwards where they could. Overall, the job looks fine and I do feel better now that the wall and ceiling have been reinforced to last a long while more.

The workers showed up promptly at 8:00 and were very professional. They put plastic over every doorway and cleaned up after they were finished.

Following work to replace electrics in several rooms in an old brooklyn brownstone, we needed several holes (including some very large ones) patched and plastered over. In addition, plaster work around a ceiling fan needed to be fixed. Keiran responded to my request and followed up quickly. We were able to schedule a day fairly quickly, and Keiran and his team completed the job in one day. I would use them again and am very happy with the entire job.

We just haven't been able to get the work scheduled. We have had it schedxuled twice and they have had a problem coming out. They are very nice; the scheduling process just isn't working out for us.

Kieran gives quotes same day, responds promptly to calls and completes work at or below the cost of the quote. Kieran listened to my specifications and followed through perfectly. Some parts of our project were small enough that he worked alone but for other parts his assistants came and they were wonderful as well. Worksite was left clean and tidy, workmen were all respectful and helpful. Kieran is truly an craftsman and artisan and his assistant George did a fabulous job replicating details from around our bay window to add some grace around the fireplace across the room. I would recommend Bestwall for simple plastering as well as restoration and fabrication of architectural details.

As usual, Kieran did an exceptional job, completing transforming our very cracked walls and ceiling into beautiful, clean walls that are as smooth as glass. We have been working with Kieran over the last two years to help us replaster the walls and ceilings of our 1901 victorian. Prior to our home office project, he helped us rehabilitate the plaster walls and ceilings of our front parlor, entry hallway and staircase. We had some very significant plaster issues/cracking, which Kieran completely stabilized. One of his most impressive projects with us was to replace some wedding cake detail, which had sustained water damage and been sanded of in one corner of the ceiling. Kieran and his team made a mold of another corner which was still in tact and installed the mold in the damaged area, perfectly blending the detail in the old design with the newly molded area. His work was so perfect that our friends and neighbors can't believe that section of the ceiling isn't original. Kieran is a true artisan. He is incredibly detailed and always walks through his work with us at the end of the project to make sure that we are completely happy with the end result. He's incredibly patient with us in answering all our questions. Most important, he is incredibly respectful of our home. Plaster work can be incredibly dusty, but Kieran always leaves everything clean at the end of every work day. And, it's always comforting to know that we can leave him and his crew to complete the project while we're off at work. Plaster work can be expensive, but compared to other contractors' estimates/portfolios of work, Kieran's work is well priced. We plan to enlist his help with our remaining room projects.

We used Bestwall Plastering to repair a damaged wall, and based upon the job they did, I can highly recommend them. We have an older home that has plaster over wood lathe walls. On one section of our dining room wall, the plaster began to come loose f, rom the wood lathe, and bow out. Some cracks had begun to form, and based on our prior experience, we were expecting a tough job. The last time something like this happened, they removed all of the plaster down to the wood lathe, and then had to replaster. It was dirty, and took a number of days between each coat of plaster. Once done it took about a week to fully dry. When I called Bestwall, Kieran said he could come by the next Saturday, and would be there at 8:30. From what I described, he thought he might be able to repair the wall that same day. He arrived early, and after looking over the job gave us a written estimate, and explained how he would repair the wall. Using a special fastner he pulled the plaster tight to the lathe. Then he applied a mesh fabric and skim coated the entire section of wall. The area was about 3' by 17', and he was able to have it done by midday. He took his time working, and that gave me a chance to talk with Kieran. I quickly learned that he is a true craftsman, when it comes to plaster. He showed my wife and I some of the ornimental work he's done, and it is truly amazing. When he finished up, he swept up, vacuumed, and then wiped down the floor. He treated our home, as if it was his own, and if it wasn't for the moved furntiure you would never have know the work was done that morning. I originally published a review for Bestwall, a few days after they did the work. However, when I was on Angie's List today, I noticed my review was not there, and I wanted to re-enter it. However, the best recommendation I can give is that since this work was done, we have Kieran scheduled to come back in a few days to work on two other walls that need repair. Having found Kieran, and Bestwall, I don't need to look for anyone else when we have a problem with any of the walls or ceilings. If you have an older home with plaster walls, and particularly if you have any decorative plaster work in you home, call Bestwall if you need to make any repairs. They're the best, and i can highly recommend them. Note: We called them back to do some additional work at our house. Once again they did a great job. Kieran came out with his crew, and worked along side them. They skim coated 2 1/2 plaster walls, and repaired some drywall on an enclosed porch. The walls all came out great. They work very neat, and leave the place clean when their done. When they finished Kieran went over the work with me to see if I had and issued, but just like the first time the did some work for us, everything came out great. IF YOU HAVE AN OLDER HOME WITH PLASTER WALLS, MAKE THEM YOUR FIRST CALL IF YOU EVER NEED ANY REPAIRS.

All went well. Coordinating with other contractors and insurance issues slowed things down but Kieran was there when he was scheduled to be. All work was completed to our satisfaction and just a couple of splatters from paint were noted, nothing to be overly concerned about.

Had set some initial dates for work, however, my choice to get others opinions prior to proceeding with the work given the cost. With the delay, it became more than a month out before could schedule the work. He came on time. Initially there was some confusion on his part on what he estimated the scope of work. So suggest if its part of a wall, or ceiling, to take photos and print out and mark up if you do this type of project. I think that he completed the work in less than 4 hours; we where comfortable with paying him and letting him work in the house and then lock up, since we both had work that day and could not do remote. Did not want to delay work further since needed to do before could schedule painting. He repaired/smoothed out approximately a 5 ft by 13 ft section of the ceiling. Two areas of prior repair work from bathroom water leaks. It looks fine, and will know more once its painted again. If you are seeking a high end plaster repair for a prominent area and willing to pay for it, recommend. I found it too costly to redo the full ceiling, so living with the "wavy" nature of the rest of a plaster ceiling. I will have to move away from the satin finish for a plaster ceiling I like, to matte.
