HE DID NOTHING.  COULDN'T RE-KEY MY LOCKS.  BROKE DOOR KNOB.  NOW I CAN'T LOCK MY DOOR WITH MY OLD KEY EVEN.  BROKE SOMETHING IN THE PROCESS OF TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO REKEY. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.  HE SAID HE WAS ONLY DOING THIS FOR 1 YEAR.  YOUNG KID.
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND AGGREVATION.  NOW I HAVE TO CALL A REAL LOCKSMITH.

I called, about an hour later he arrived.  Did a great job at the price quoted and even tightened the door to make sure it hung correctly!  Was very helpful and informative.  A real pleasure to do business with!

I just bought a new house and I wanted to get my locks changed out. Overall, service was good. They were about an hour late of the appt time but I am still pleased overall with the service I got today. AnD I appreciated the discount offered to AL members.

I just moved in, and for the first time ever closed my one and only bathroom door.  Never occurred to me that anyone would have set a bathroom door to lock, but obviously the previous owner had done so.  I tried prying it open myself with no luck, so had to call for help.  Locksmith came within the hour, and very quickly (about 1 minute) had it open.  All went very well.  It took longer to process my credit card than it did to open the locked door.  I thought the price a little high, but they had someone here on very short notice, so I guess that's what I had to pay for.

My appointment was at 6 pm but the technician did not show up until 730 pm. He did not call or notify us that he was running late, and he stated "he did not know the time of the appointment"  he also did not know what all was requested but once told began work immediately.  I could not get everything I wanted completed because he arrived so late.  I am not familiar with the cost of locksmiths, however two locks and 3 keys @135 dollars seems a bit steep. As a result I am not sure if will use again for remaining jobs, I hate sitting around waiting for service and not even be contacted that he was behind schedule and then showing up like "so what, i am late, what do you want completed".  It just does not sit well with me.

The first person with whom I spoke was friendly and answered all my questions and gave me the price of the deadbolt locks.  He offered to have someone out the same day, but I scheduled it for two days later. 

Ryan arrived and was friendly and went to work.  This was a brand new  installation so everything had to be cut and lined up and installed.  He told me ahead of time that there would be a lot of noise.  He was professional and got the job done quickly considering all he had to do.  He said he would vacuum when he was done with the job.

He went over all the details of the deadbolt and how I could change the code on the key pad, left me information on the lock and made sure I knew where they were located,  which is very close to where I live. 

I didn't "shop around" because they have an A rating on Angie's list and because everyone was friendly and helpful and never made me want to compare.

Tom was punctual, efficient, professional and friendly.   I would definitely recommend this locksmith and use them again for any future need.

We had lost a set of keys and needed the locks changed quickly.  I called and was told that someone would be out in an hour.  The locksmith arrived on time, was very courteous and professional.  He spent about 1-1.5 hours and did a very good job.  The replacement locks are a very good quality.  I think the price is a bit high - even with using the Angies list discount it was over $550.  I was charged for the locks and to install them plus a service call.  However, I don't have anything to compare this to so maybe this is normal.  Also, I had to get this done quickly.
Very happy with the work and the quick response and I do recommend them.

Called Monday afternoon for non-emergency service - came out next morning at my convenience and was prepared to do what I needed done right away.

They were able to schedule a locksmith within a couple hours.  He came promptly, had with him a part that needed replacing even though the lock is not standard, and was friendly and courteous.

They came out a couple of times to install locks.  They were very punctual and friendly.  They gave us some different pricing options and were price-sensitive.  I'd use them again.

We spent about $100 on that service.  We called them mid day and they were out that afternoon, so they came out very quickly.  I did not have anything to compare their price to.

The people from Interstate Locksmith Group Inc did a good job. They were quick and very professional. They got their own grinders to cut the locks. They were expensive but they did an excellent quality work.

I called a locksmith because I have an old house and the front door knob has a 7 in. set-back and I couldn't get a knob at any standard hardware store. We called for an appointment and they promptly set up an appointment for the next day. I had decided that since they would be replacing the front door knob, I would also take the opportunity the replace the knobs on the two other outside doors to my home and install deadbolts as well. The gentleman showed up promptly the next day. He took a look at the front door and clearly had not been informed that the knob was unusual because he told me he had to go and see if he could get a knob with the proper set-back. He left and returned about a half hour later, but when he tried to install the knob, he found that he had one with a 5 in. set-back and the door is 7 in. so it would not fit (He did not measure before he left). He looked at the assembly and found that he had a knob from the same company, so he could use the existing latch with the new knob. It would be different from the other knobs, but that was OK. He then installed the new door knobs and deadbolts on the other doors. When I was presented the bill it was for $836! I had failed to ask him to price out the work before-hand, but I had no inkling that it would run that much. I did not question the bill initially since I had little to no experience with locksmiths, so I had no basis for comparison. I spoke with my father-in-law and he said he though that was much higher than he would have expected, so I called the office without identifying myself just to ask for a quote for installing new knobs and a deadbolts. I was told that there would be a $49 service charge, and $119 per door to install the knobs and locks. I specifically asked if labor was included and they said yes, and I asked if there was an extra charge for having them keyed all the same and they said no. My bill included both labor charges and charges for rekeying the locks and charged me $80 each for the knobs and deadbolts.. I then indentified myself and asked them about my bill and they said I would have to talk to the installer. I spoke to him the next day and he said they were giving me general estimates and the job determines the price. I asked him to justify how his price could be more than twice what they told me and how he charged fees for labor and rekeying that they said were included. He said that he had to drill holes in the door for the locks which was why he charged me 2 hours of labor at $85 per hour. I challenged him and said that the drilling took 30 minutes tops, so how could he charge me for 2 House and he had no reply. He also said they were mistaken when they said the rekeying was included. At this point I him I had stopped payment on my check, so he contacted his office and they said they would reduce it to $650. I agreed just to be done with it, but I still fell that I was ripped off and will not use them again.
