MAINSTREAM IRRIGATION

The very first winter they never showed up to winterize the system, it was prepaid.  I had to get someone else to winterize the system. Then this winter 2012 the company I called to winterize the system and was  told  I did'nt have a back flow installed, which I also paid for.
I called Mainstream and a guy came out and told me he would install the back flow and said he was sorry but he had men working for him that told him they did work that they did'nt.  I also told him the other sprinkler company told me the pipe mainstrem used whas not code.  The guy from mainstream told me it was code in 2008 but he would bring it up to code.  I just had to pay for the parts. $75.00 in advance for him to order.  We set up a date for the following monday to fix the system.  They cancelled, and said Saturday would be better, I called abount 9:00 to see when they were coming over, I was told 3:00.  I got a call about 4:00 that the part did not come in and they would come monday.  Well Monday came and went they never showed up.  I called the office and left a message, never got a call back. I called again today spoked to John Goodwin the owner he told me he would give the message to Joe Goodwin the guy working on my house. Still never got a call back. I am going to file a complaint with NJ consumer affairs for fraud. 
If you use them be prepaired to get ripped off and no call back. 

The installation went very well. Took only three days start to finish. The follow up service of the system is where the problems are. Although Mainstream is very price friendly, many appointments were missed and it's hard to get any follow up service. My system was almost ruined (freeze) during last years late service. The owner has a tendacy to blame others. Also finding quaility issues with installation. For example, control valves were buried in dirt - inside the contol valve boxes. The valve boxes were installed below grade next to my foundation which caused water to puddle and make it's way through my foudation wall. The valve manifold was also "homemade" and totally glued together making it very difficult to ever replace a valve.
