Budget Tile

George and his brother were a pleasure to have working in my home. They are honest, work quickly and quietly, respectful of your home, work clean and good for their word. It is a pleasure to recommend them.

Terrible!!! Shut his business down!!

I hired George to redo the tile in my bathroom and he never mentioned that he himself would not be doing the work that he had guys that he would drop off to do the work. We were scheduled for a day in July and he called me and pushed it off by two weeks because he got a last minute call to do another job. It was not good for us but we really had no choice.
The men he dropped off did a nice job but during the demolition of the old tile they had made a hole through the wall into an unused bedroom wall opposite the bathroom. They never told me this happened. After the job was finished and paid for my daughter came to visit. This was her old room and that is when it was discovered. 
We contacted George and had to chase him to have them come and repair the hole in the wall. Then they were supposed to come back to paint the wall but never did. We chased him for a month and finally got reimbursed for the cost of the paint but that was it. 
Also, the guys disposed of dirty water containing tile in my flowerbed and down the slope onto my neighbors property. 
Very unprofessional business.  

GEORGE AND ALEC ARE EXCELLENT WORKMEN. JOB WENT SMOOTHLY AND THE END RESULT WAS A BEAUTIFUL NEW BATHROOM. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND GEORGE AND HIS CREW.

Work was never done on a timely fashion in general. The materials were all mismatched and mis-measured. I had to personally order more tile from the company. That was for every room. We put down a 24x24 tile in the entryway to the kitchen. I don't think they were skilled in handling residential tile. They put tile over tile which he insisted was ok. Well, he never even sealed it properly. He had sawed down a custom-made metal door which had cost us $2500. This is our main concern. He tries to fix the door by patching two pieces of weather stripping, and even misplaced where the nails were supposed to go. We can't even open the door because the stripping is scratching against the tile. The grout is now cracking and coming out from between the tile and my husband has even tried to fix the grout himself. All because of the improper sealing. Finally, we had an environmental concern because he dumped the extra grout all over our yard. We even hired another tile and grout cleaner to come out to our house to try his best to clean it but he just couldn't do it. He was present, professional, courteous, and felt very bad because he couldn't get it clean.

Can't really express how pleased I am with Budget Tile with just this review. The tiles look perfect and I haven't been able to find any imperfections. The house was very clean when I came back from work which is suprising considering that some drywall had to be removed and grout and adhesive had to be used. The owner was very professional and called after the job was completed to brief me on the project. I definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs to get any type of tile work done in the future.

It went well and according to proposed time frame

Overall we had a good experience with budget tile. They were always on time and were constantly working while they were here. We felt that he was more concerned about doing things the right way as opposed to other places we got quotes from. All the other guys wanted just just put down tile over our linoleum, even though there was a dip in the floor, but budget tile insisted on redoing the sub floor which turned out to be a good thing because the cement was all cracked. The grout around the floor tile did end up cracking after a few weeks but he quickly came back and redid it free of charge. It's been fine ever since. The shower looks great. Only issue we had was that the quote we were given was for the wall, floor and putting up a tile bullnose around the bathroom wall. We ended up wanting wood molding which they said they didn't do but they still charged us the same amount. Then at the end, they charged us almost and extra $200 because they had to do more work with repairing the floor than they had anticipated. I don't think this was unreasonable but I think we should have been told up front, not at the end of the job.
