I called Affordable on a 92 degree summer day to ask them if they can come out to my house and see why my AC was freezing up. They showed up and told us that our AC needed 2 lbs. of Freon. While they were filling the Freon we walked away and when we came back it was up to 4 lbs. He issued us a bill for $500.00. We questionned why was he charging so much, he then lowered it to $400.00. He charged us $77.00 per lb. for the Freon which normally sells for $25.00-$30.00 per pound. He told us he would not go out in this heat for a $200.00 service call (which took him approximately 1/2 hour). He took advantage of us because of the high temperatures that day knowing we needed our AC to work.
