+ -1 moremy entire first floor and crawl space were destroyed by the flooding of Sandy. it all had to be gutted--- floors completely ripped out all kitchen appliances and lower cabinets. garage contents destroyed doors removed and i needed a total renovation. My crawl space needed to be drained and re-insulated. This was done by my first contractor. It became clear to me that I was being overcharged for sub-par work and to be honest, he just seemed to be under qualified. We parted ways and then Art took over. What a difference! He took charge and got the job organized right away. He worked long hours and weekends. He instilled in me a feeling of confidence and security. And his work was impeccable. It is rare to find such quality and work ethic these days. Art Gillman gave me my house back.
Description of Work: art gilman is the most honest, hard-working and skilled contractor with whom i have ever had the pleasure of working. I live in Brielle NJ and lost the entire first floor of my house to the flooding of Sandy. Unfortunately i started with a different contractor whom over-charged me and did shoddy work. I then brought in Art and wow what a difference He is reliable trustworthy and really seemed to care about my concerns. He worked basically straight through including weekends until the job was complete. He is able to do ANY home-remodelling inside and out. He is a true Mastercraftsman. He has over 35 years of experience at the Jersey Shore. what a professional and a joy to work with. I have no doubt that he saved me thousands of dollars. He even called the insurance adjustors himself to expedite the settlement of my claim. I highly recommend Art Gillman. He rebuilt the first floor of my home in a timely and professional manner and it looks absolutely gorgeous and better than before. IF YOU HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY SANDY AND NEED A CONTRACTOR CALL HIM AND HOPE HE IS AVAILABLE.
