We like them.

The only real issue is and it is just a personal thing, they have the doctors, then they have the physician’s assistants, and then, they have the nurses and they have the receptionists and scheduling. It is going to happen with any big office where you are going to have people that you are not going to get along with and sometimes we end up getting scheduled with one of the PAs that we just do not like. There is nothing wrong with her. She is perfectly professional. She knows what she is doing. It is just we do not get along. There is no fixing that either. It just happens. There are occasionally some delays getting scheduling, but they are a medical group and they have a lot of appointments scheduled and we just have to wait for a couple of days. It happens. Punctuality of course, they are going to be running late, but pretty much all doctors’ office does that. It is not like they are worse than anyone else.  When doctors are running late, mostly they are just spending a lot of time with a patient who needs the time and you can therefore assume they will do the same for you when you need it or the patient got there late because of some issue which is not their fault. It is just the normal way of things.

They're good. There are five or so different doctors. They did make time.

They are close and they are pretty accommodating. The people are nice and the office environment is clean.

I highly recommend them because they are really good group. They do have a cardiologist and podiatrist in the group too. It's a one stop shop for me. They have been wonderful and their timings are very convenient. They are open seven days a week, late during the week days and during the weekends they are open until as late as 3pm. If I do have emergencies then there is a phone line that I can call on and they will get back to me right away. I have had a wonderful experience with them. I moved and now I live in Iselin but I am still using the same group.

The non medical staff is very friendly and helpful. But the medical staff are always running and spend very little time with the patient. I have been to this place atleast 4-5 times and each time my experience has been bad and worse.

I've been a patient of Dr. Mitch Mayer for about 20 years now (maybe more?) and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He takes the time to listen to his patients and is a truly excellent physician with a friendly bedside manner. If I'm really in a bind and need an appointment asap, I've gotten next day appointments with other providers in the office and have never had a complaint. And if that isn't enough...how many medical offices do you know that have hours on evenings AND on Sundays!? Although I now live more than 1/2 hour away, I wouldn't even consider changing doctors. Highly recommended!

The overall experience was excellent. I would use this provider again.

They can do a lot of tests for you while you are there. If they need to do an EKG they would do it and also blood work. They are also very good at referring you to other doctors. If they don't take care of something they refer you to another doctor. They have a group of doctors who take care of different ailments that you might have. They are really very good and you don't have to wait long. Once you get your appointment and you don't have to wait more than 10 minutes for your appointment. I was referred to them by my aunt when I had an abscess. Overall they are very punctual. I am new with them and I went to them only a year ago. I am referring my family and children to them now.

I saw the physicians assistant Andrew Hunton. He was very thorough and his bedside manner was excellent. He was very patient when answering my questions. I never felt rushed like I have in other doctors office's. My experience at the Avenel Iselin Medical Group was a good experience. I felt that everyone that worked there was very nice and very professional. This was my first visit. Since I'm new to this area, this was the first new primary care physician I have seen in over 15 years. I will retur

They are about the same as everyone else so nothing really stands out to me.

I have been consulting them for the last 30 years. I am very fond of my doctor and he does a great job. I make prior appointments to consult him, so there has been no problem with availability. In his absence I can consult any other doctor, too. The support staff is good, too. I like their services and will use the same in future.

I have been seeing the Doctors and PA's at this practice for nine years and have had an overall good experience. The waiting room is a little bleak, no magazines or reading material, and the televisions are hanging from the ceiling at an odd angle so they are hard to see. The office staff are, for the most part, nice and helpful. They have good phone manners and generally get you in and out quickly. They are usually able to get you in to see a PA quickly but if you want a particular Dr. it may take a day or two.
