answered my call right away. scheduled for next day. did not give an estimate over the phone. this is a rental so the tenant let him in. plumber did not give me an estimate when he was at the house either.
4 days later i get a bill for $265 for something that probably took 10 minutes to fix.

"In response to [Member Name Removed] D rating of our service I must point to a few facts. The original call was for "excessive water use" and a leaking 2nd floor toilet. Having no access to the 1st floor apt, we used valves in basement to isolate all the water to the 1st floor then checked the water meter and found it "running" finding no leaking in the basement, which indicated a problem on the 2nd floor. The only leaking found was on the toilet (previously informed of). We replaced the fill valve, flapper ball and tank lever handle then checked the meter again finding no water usage.Next the valves to the 1st floor were turned on, checked the water meter again and found no water running, PROBLEM SOLVED FOR SURE.! As for the price charged, $241.89 (after Angie's List dicount) is very competative for a licesed master plumber, Thank You for your prompt payment, hope to keep you as a customer Angelo Strillacci ;:Crossroads Plumbing ."
