"Owner skylite was existing and I explained to them that it was leaking around flashing I would have to charge the member after the first visit to inspect. I told her that the flashing was bad and she would have to pay me to fix it. The member went on about it should be covered under guarantee but I explained it was an existing skylite and I wouldn't be able to it for free. She admitted the flashing was bad from the other roofer. She could have resolved this with me, and paid me to fix it instead of getting involved with yet another contractor. The roof that I installed has a guarantee attached to it called a "Golden Pledge" The guarantee is for the roofing system not the skylights that were existing. Hopefully she did not void the warranty for the other residents due to an unauthorized installer possibly doing the work. I am sorry that she feels this way. As far as response I was there within 48 hours from the first call. I didn't respond as quick to the second call because I was going in circles. No one works for free, especially when it's a chargeable item. The member was insisting it wasn't the skylite, and that it was the roof system. The roof system did not fail...The skylite wasn't good.
