Monmouth Vinyl

We are delighted with the work Monmouth Vinyl did recently in putting vinyl siding on our house. The old siding consisted of cedar shingles attached to a fiberboard backing rather than nailed to plywood sheathing. The three other siding bids we got all offered only to install the new siding over the old (with the alternative being re-sheathing the entire house, which would have been prohibitively expensive). Monmouth Vinyl, however, provided the additional option (for less than 10% extra) of removing the cedar shingles from the fiberboard, covering the fiberboard with plywood, and nailing the new siding to this plywood backing. This option had the advantages of making the windows and doors stand out better, and making the rooflines on the gables look more natural. Even with this option, Monmouth Vinyl's price was less than two of the other bids. We are very pleased with the result. From the outside, our house looks like new, rather than just a house with new siding. During the course of the work, Monmouth Vinyl was highly professional and customer-oriented. They showed up every day, patiently answered our many questions, and addressed our concerns, even when it required extra work on their part. Steve, the company owner, was regularly on site and his son Joe was on site full-time. Steve, Joe, and the other members of their team are easy to work with and responsive to their customers. We are happy we chose Monmouth Vinyl and we can definitely recommend them to others.
