Jay is a great and a very hard worker. he puts all his effort in every job he does and he is very meticulous, efficient and takes pride in every job he does, He is very courteous,respectful and a pleasure to do business with. i would recommend Jay for any jobs that may need to be done because he is a very talented contractor.

Pollard home Improvements was great. I would recommand Jay for any of your construction needs. He and his crew were there when they said. Jay always called or text me with everything. Without Jay's help I wouldn't have been able to get entire house redone. Jay new what things cost and what needed to be fixed, replace or could be reused. Use Jay. He and his family are great.

Pollard Home Improvements was what professionalism is all about. Listened to what I needed and came through. Always on time, ready and will to answer any questions I had no matter how big or small. My Daughter called Jay. Within an hour he was there, making phone calls in front of house. Had tree guys there asap. Jay helped me get into house to get Basic stuff, paperwork and pills.. He got huge tarp covered house until insurance company came. Jay took care of everything, Insurance people, township people, loiters. he came everyday as he said. always keeping me informed by phone calls or texts. Jay and his crew rebuilt my house. Using material and colors I never new worked.. Pollard Home improvements made this unexpected Journey fun and excitable. He rebuilt my house making it a home again.

I am a carpenter's son and an avid DIY home owner, but my limited time has forced me to hire others from time to time to do projects in my house. I have be a bit tough on contractors/tradesman as I know enough to be dangerous and i believe I know what to look for when the work is being performed. I am sure I could find someone cheaper than Jay to do the work at my house, but every time I have gone that route, I have regretted it (e.g. poor quality work). Whenever I get estimates from contractors, I need to continually remind my sell of an expression me parents taught me a long time ago "quality pays, it doesn't cost." I need to avoid the temptation of the lowest price.... From a quality of work perspective, I cannot be happier with his attention to detail and the precision of his work. His miters are perfect, and he uses glue to reinforce the joints so they do not come apart a few months/years later. Jay installed hardwood wainscoting, crown molding and casement throughout the whole first floor of our home. - going the extra mile to use pocket screws on the wainscoting frames so the seams won't separate in the future. With that said, Jay reminds my of my Dad in many ways...a gentleman, a craftsman and someone you can trust with you home. He is a sole proprietor who is personally on the job site doing the work. He is reliable - showing up at 7 am every day and leaving the job site clean when he leaves for the day...he is patient - giving option for how the finished product could look (we spent a lot of time on Houzz looking at pictures for how he could build our fireplace and overmantel)...he is trustworthy - he would make sure our house was locked up if we were not home when it was time for him to leave...he is personable - he was great with our dog and put my wife and children at ease as it can be uncomfortable to have a stranger working in your house for weeks... I have a few more projects to be completed in my home over the next year and I will not hesitate to call Jay to do the work...the piece of mind that the job will be done properly, using someone I can trust in my home, is worth the incremental cost of using an old-world craftsman! if anyone has questions, I am happy to answer them, just email me at kanarasj@gmail.com
