Ron was an absolute professional and extremely thorough in our inspection. He explained everything to us in a very clear and helpful manner. He spent over three hours with us and documented each and every item on his report. The fact his report was electronically sent was also a great feature. We recommended him to our in laws and they were more than satisfied with his service as well.

Ron was early to start.
Walked the entire exterior of the house in 6" of snow without hesitation.
Explained every item that he found completely and clearly.
Emailed the report to me instantly.
I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for a home inspector.

Ron was on site and started on the exterior of the house when we arrived at the scheduled appointment time. He was very methodical and thorough crawling all over and under this house. He took his time explaining to us each of his findings and why some were greater concerns than others and suggesting possible fixes for each. Due to the abundance of findings at this home he spent closer to 5 hours than the anticipated 3 hours, but did not seem rushed nor accept any additional money for the job. His report was clear and well illustrated and delivered electronically within an hour of the end of the inspection. Ron is also simply an enjoyable and funny guy to spend half a day with. I will strongly recommend this company to all friends who need a home inspected.

Ron was amazing. He was referred by my realtor and I was not disappointed. He inspected every inch of the home I am buying. He gave me his professional opinion on the cost of updates needed. Ron was very patient in explaining anything I didn't understand. The report was very detailed and given to me that evening. His report really helped in asking for any repairs from the owners. Lori who works in his office was amazing. She was there to answer any questions and helped me with referrals for other inspections. She was always honest with me and helped me a great deal. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Got this guys number from my lawyer, and honestly, I'm always a little leery of people in this business. The fist time I bought a house, I got a list of over 400 things that needed to be addressed, and a cost estimate to fix those things that was ridiculous. I ended up buying that house, and did very well on it. I thought it was interesting that rather than tell me to sweep the floor, the guy gave me an estimate to replace the floor, as it was dirty. But now you know why I am skeptical.
Ron came, and walked through the house - he didn't rush, as if he was late for another appointment. After looking around the house, very thoroughly, he then walked me through everything, and pointed out what he thought were the most important parts. Look - this is an important thing, no one wants to be surprised by costly, UNFORESEEN repairs that need to be done when you are buying a new house. The house was a fixer-upper, but he still went through things very thoroughly, and didn't skip things, even if they were obvious.
His report came via email to me that same day - I don't think that you can ask for more...

Ron DeMott inspected our house to be and was EXTREMELY thorough and knowledgeable. He provided an extremely detailed inspection report and took painstaking time explaining the details of his inspection to me (which was VERY helpful). His matter of fact style was refreshing and just what we were looking for as first time home buyers. I would highly recommend Ron to anyone, even though I'm sure you could find someone who is a little cheaper I doubt they would be more thorough.
