After a 'free' estimate and inspection for a smell lingering around my house Arthur suggested a camera inspection of my sewage pipes. I agreed paid 550 - they were supposed to supply a dvd of the inspection but never did. They said the smell was not coming from the roof vents and wanted 100 per foot to replace an alleged 'sloped' pipe that was holding water. I had another camera inspection done and this was not the case. I never received the dvd. After many many phone calls he finally said they didn't video it and would have to come back. After 3 cancelled appointments they came back re-did the inspection - that was 3 weeks ago - I still haven't gotten a dvd. I would never recommend this company.

We bought a house with plumbing that was cobbled together over a 70-year period. Some was concealed behind ceiling panels but much was exposed; awkwardly placed, intruding on limited head and wall space, strung up with picture wire, and otherwise poorly done. Arthur Slegers understood exactly what we wanted done to clear the tangle of existing pipes and give us properly routed, properly fastened plumbing, and free up space previously consumed by copper and iron pipes. He estimated about 4 days of work, but the job proved more complex and took twice as long. Our criteria was quality work and attention to detail, so we weren't bothered by the extra time. Arthur's work was absolutely top-notch and we are delighted with way he laid it out. He listened carefully and gave us exactly what we wanted with no short-cuts. The price was more than reasonable for the amount of effort and quality. I strongly recommend Arthur's Plumbing and Heating.

It went very well. I called him and left him a message originally. He returned my call within a couple of hours and came over and gave me an estimate the next day. He installed everything the following week. Everything went as planned and he was great to deal with. He even wore covers on his shoes when he came in the house.

Called and left a voice mail, returned call promptly and was able to do the service within one week of call. Arrived on time, was very professional and knowledgible. Took a little over 2 hours to finish the work and clean up. Parts were about $180.00 and labor was $273, which is a little steep in my opinion (I have only been living in NJ for a couple of years). Would consider using again because of his knowledge and profesionalism.

Slegger called promptly and asked what the problem was. I explained as above. We set a time for him to come by within two days. He was on time. his equipment and truck gave a clear sign of professionalism - neat - clean - well organized. I showed him the two faucets inside the house and outside. In a few minutes he had an estimate and showed it to me. It looked fair to me given plumber pricing I have seen in this area the past 20 years. I approved the price. He was ready right then to do the job. He brought the special long stemmed faucets with him as well as special replacement shut-off valves. We agreed he would do it then. In two hours he was done. It was notable that he was very NEAT with his approach to the inside of the house. He put on and took off overshoe "surgical" slippers to enter and exit the house. His demeanor was pleasant and his professional attitude was helpful, direct and business-like. It is obvious he is a serious professional who takes care with is work and understands his business and his customers.

Arthur was recommended from our contractor, Empire Restorations, to do the plumbing for our refurnished kitchen. He came, was polite and efficient, gave an estimate and began the work. There we found a couple of unexpected challenges, as there always are, and he figured a way to deal with them and do what had to be done. Polite, professional and very competent. Not having done this before, I could not tell if his rate was high, low, or just right, but after seeing all that he did, I think his price was very fair. I will use him again.
