I was renovating my condo and was looking to have my bathroom completely redone. I did some research, and found Smartchoice (on Homeadvisor) amongst other companies. I checked references and 2 people were nice enough to call me back with strong reviews of Smartchoice - both were kitchens which were totally reno'ed. I decided to go with them for my bathroom which can always be a bit scary when using a new contractor. I am so glad I did! I told Benjamin ( the project lead) what I wanted to do and he was extremely helpful in providing me with suggestions AND insight into what I needed as well as some excellent vendors (companies) to obtain my toilet, tile and tub at a great price. Fast forward, and my bathroom looks AMAZING and is exactly like I envisioned. As a luxury goods professional, I have high standards and they certainly met them. I highly recommend Smartchoice and have told them to use me as a reference - Yes, I am a real person. I will certainly be using them again in the future.

My husband and I highly recommend Smart Choice Corp. Ben and his team did a phenomenal job within the time limits we gave them (about 10-14 working days for a full kitchen remod in our condo in Hoboken). We dealt mostly with Gabriel Barrial regarding questions and logistics as the process went on - the clear and honest communication really exceeded our expectations. I also recommend going with their suggestions of local tile and cabinet suppliers as there were fewer hitches/delays than with bigger chains (like Home Depot, which I have heard from neighbors and friends can take several weeks).

I would definitely recommend Smartt Choice Corp. Ben and his team were very professional and do great work! There were a few unexpected obstacles in our renovation and they always came up with creative and effective solutions. Also, the estimate was 100% accurate, no surprises at all which was great. I plan on continuing to use the company in the future for any random projects we might need.

Very happy with results. Good communication, clean work, and reasonable pricing. Open and honest with assessment; comfortable with hiring them upon first meeting. Used Emily @ Moran Designs for consulting and Smartt Choice for contrac work for a small kitchen remodel, replacing all cabinets, flooring, lighting, and contracted them for additional apartment painting during same period. Would recommend and hire again. Recommended design worked out well i the end.

While I felt the usual frustrations one would feel during any kind of renovation -- as one friend artfully stated: "A renovation is like giving birth. It is a pain while it is going on but you love the new birth." And that is just it. What I found most painful was the lag in days during the stages of gutting, cutting tile, placing it and completion. Overall, Smart Choice is eager to please and defintiely delivers on their promises. Their work is almost flawless, that if I were to compare it to the grading of a diamond, I would grade their work as VVS2.

Ben and Emily recently renovated my bathroom in Hoboken. Ben was always accessible and responsive and the quality of his work was excellent. There were some unforeseen problems with our building and Ben came up with solutions that would still be within my budget. Emily was very easy to work with and I loved her design. She even smartly talked me out of my original design ideas and encouraged me to go with a more neutral design to protect my resale value. It was so nice to have her involved to go to the stores and pick out all of the materials. My parents plan to use Ben and Emily to renovate their bathroom in Montclair.

I highly recommend using Smartt Choice. Smartt Choice was highly professional, reasonably priced, and finished the work on the time schedule. They did beautiful custom tile work and recessed the medicine cabinet and a built-in shelf in the shower. Benjamin Martinez, the owner, checked with me along the process to make sure the trim was placed properly etc. Smartt Choice is very careful to follow building code and get the proper inspections, etc. so there won't be a problem. I am very happy with my decision and will recommend him to my friends and family.
