Cross Country Movers

Very well, they contacted me as told they would.

Cross Country Movers did our move only on their genius truck-trailer combo, arrived at exactly the move date and time we needed, and gave us the most reasonable price. We even had to adjust the moving itinerary by a day just three days before they were scheduled to load, and they made the changes just as we requested. On moving day, a team of three guys came and loaded our things. Because they have a truck + trailer, they can load fragile things like lamps, pictures, paintings, etc. into compartments in the truck that keep them protected. These guys were incredibly nice, worked very quickly, were very careful with our things, and according to my four year-old, "They're the strongest men I've ever seen!" The delivery team of two guys drove our stuff up, stayed in touch, and arrived exactly when we scheduled. They did a great job and were also super nice. Great company, great people, great job. Thank you!

Doug, Tim and Fred were my guys and they did good. They arrived on time and made the entire experience easy. All of my items arrived in perfect shape. Moving is never fun, but I couldn't be happier with this move. They hustled, but also took great care with my belongings. Not one thing was broken or lost (minus some cheap shelf pegs for an armoire, but no big deal). They took great care to use blankets + plastic wrap over our nicer furniture. They worked extremely hard and did an amazing job with very positive attitudes the entire time. Our total move time was less than quoted. My final price was $100 less than the low end of my quote and the service provided was outstanding. We tipped each guy well, because it was deserved. Guys were positive, cheerful, cautious with the furniture and boxes. Totally worth it. They have an A+ rating with the BBB, and now I know why. They were completely prepared, great communicators, very helpful in the office and on-site. We are happy customers and will absolutely recommend cross country movers to anyone who asks.

Let me start off by saying that after doing some thorough research, I found cross country movers to be the most affordable around and my wife was very impressed with the lady on the phone as she had some questions for our particular move. You see, we were renovating and and also really needing them to move our things from one place to another asap, we just needed them to pack things away quickly for when we got to work, then let them move everything to the new house.  It was quite a bit of stuff, let me tell you. Jeff (district manager) came down personally and took a look at the place and suggested it may not be more than a four hour job to pack everything. They were done, however, within three hours and off to the new place! With my wife with a bad wrist and myself working, we sure did appreciate their quick-paced work and everything was stacked very nicely in the different places of the new houses we needed it to be when I got home! All in all, I'm very happy to say that they are efficient and for sure a company that I will be telling my friends and family about in the event that they need such flexible and courteous help with moving I'd highly recommend them.

However the building in the old location had a lift failure for 8 hours resulting in us not being able to move out until 5pm. So we finally got goods out of my apartment at about 5 in the morning. This was after most of the cross country mover's team had been working without very many breaks.

I was more than happy to buy both the team dinner which we all ate in out new home on the floor sitting on bubble wrap. They finished faster than I ever anticipated. They finally left after unpacking us at after 10pm to travel back to their home. I am not easy to please but these guys were so calm, polite, and packed/unpacked very carefully.

Despite my offers to help, the movers were determined to put everything back together and complete the move to our home perfectly. I have moved around the states many times but never so easily and they were better than the best of the big names I have used which is in my opinion is huge. Thank you Chris and cross country team, you were great! 

The cross country crew took care of everything, even picked up appliances I bought. They worked with patience and professionalism. They wrapped items in plastic, furniture with blankets and large screen TVs with bubble wrap; transported large planters; wrapped and packed all dishes, glassware, anything fragile. They marked boxes by room and used that to organize the delivery. They fit everything into the Large truck and began transit to the home 300+ miles away, then delivered everything after 3 days after Thanksgiving!  They disassembled and reassembled two bed frames and several other large furniture items. They removed all mounted TVs and organized all the screws and pieces. We had the biggest conference table that these guys had to hoist up over a balcony.  What an impressive thing to watch! Overall they did a really great job. They also installed the appliances, put up curtains and even assembled two flat pack sofas.  I can see how they care about their customers. I had very heavy furniture, they just worked as a team to figure it out properly. Very nice team with reasonable prices. Their base estimate was reasonable, extra charges for stairs and additional pickups and services clear and well worth what was charged. I would definitely use cross country movers again for all my future long distance moves.

First of all, we have used Cross Country Long Distance Movers twice before and regardless of what they were charging, we will stick with them. Luckily, they were available for this third move and we both worked together and remained flexible with dates to make it work. Second, they feel like a small, local business which I love. They are growing which is great news and unsurprising, but I had no idea how big they were until they told me. You would never know - it feels like a small company of 3-5 guys out to work hard and make a living. There is absolutely zero corporate, mechanical vibe. They even provide tuition for their staff which I will support any day. Third, I love the handshakes. All the movers introduce themselves with a hand shake. This is crucial. It's personable and makes me feel like they care. We look forward to using then again and recommending them to friends. Best of luck to them in their growth! Communication by email is very prompt and their intake form is easy to fill out. Finally, their positive attitudes were relentless. Our couch wouldn't fit in the elevator, so they had to bring it up four flights of stairs with a few locked gates and challenging turns along the way. They just wanted to get the job done, and kept the professionalism as if it wasn't a big deal. I would use them again as I know they will do the right thing and are reliable.

I would just like to say a big thanks to Cross Country Movers for making my move as stress-free as possible. I was impressed with the service from the point of Bill coming round to provide a quote when he made sure I was happy with the service. Ryan and David were fantastic a packing and Chris when we arrived at our new property. Unfortunately, the elevator access at my new property was limited and the job was made a whole lot harder on the guys than it should have been, even they got on with it with tremendous dedication and alot of hard work that day.  The value for money for such hard work and long hours was tremendous and I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending Cross Country anytime to anyone looking for a reliable, long distance moving company. Right from the quote I felt comfortable with Bill, he knows his stuff. I didn't go searching for the best deal, but I am happy I would not have got any better than this company. Cross Country Movers our move day easier than I'd ever expected. They were courteous, friendly, efficient, careful, thoughtful, and thorough--what more can you ask for!? They worked really fast, nothing was damaged (Rob pointed out a small scratch on an Ikea table and started to apologize profusely before I could even tell him there was a pretty solid chance the scratch was already there!) and happily placed our furniture right where we wanted it in our new home. Alot of packing tape, wardrobe boxes, and wrapping are included in the move, which was really nice. They wrapped everything neatly and removed the wrapping afterward. We filled 5 wardrobe boxes while they were packing the living room, they moved them out of the way and onto the truck lickety-split, we unpacked them while they were unloading other items, and before I could turn around the empty boxes were back on the truck! Both were humbled to be offered water and sodas as they were unloading! They even made friendly conversation as we worked, making a potentially-stressful move day very pleasant and relaxed. In advance, working with the staff to book the move was an equally positive experience. The two people I worked with--one via email and one over the phone--were helpful, friendly, informative and flexible. They worked with me to get the right quote for our needs, and communicated throughout the process, confirming with us at least twice. All in all, this was an excellent experience for us. We will definitely use Cross Country Movers again next time we move, and will recommend them to everyone!

I am disabled and informed the company before and that I could not help much, I had therefore called in one person to assist at my old property both days, and that turned out to be necessary as the move took longer than estimated both days.  On the garden day, David and Ryan turned up and carried all my plants through my house and out to the van. Most of the plants were already placed in crates, but it was still a lot of carrying. The largest item was a 3m tall magnolia, it all went smoothly, on two trips to the new house, nothing got broken, and all the plants were safely placed in my new garden where access is much easier as there is a back gate.

The next day David turned up again, this time with Alex, and my house was ready packed in boxes for them, with everything labeled for which room to place it in when they arrived at the new house. Again, everything went smoothly, the men carried my huge load of boxes down the steep stairs and out to the truck ? and even though I left some of the furniture since I am downsizing, it was a big job for them up and down my Victorian stairs. Moving houses is very stressful, but Cross Country Long Distance Movers helped to make the move to my new place manageable, I am so glad I chose them for my move and would warmly recommend them if you need long distance moving services.
