Avid Handyman

Beware! Avid Handyman is totally incompetent and not worth the aggravation. I hired them to replace a garage disposal and they ended up clogging our dishwasher. After SEVERAL back and forth conversations and follow-up visits, I had to pay GE for a service call only to confirm that it was Avid’s “handy” work that created the dishwasher issue. It felt unusual to me that I would have to explain to them the connection given that this is their field. Additionally, as a result of Avid pulling our dishwasher out to investigate the issue, it created irreparable damage to our dishwasher (the dishwasher door does not shut properly FOLLOWING Avid’s “handy” work). The office manager was not pleasant to deal with and they took NO RESPONSIBILITY for their “hand” in this disastrous experience. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a better handyman service.

Beware! Avid Handyman irrevocably damaged a door they were attempting to install at my house, and refused to take responsibility for it. Avid was hired to install a door at home, which they installed upside down (see photos below). The door can no longer be used, since the door handles would be at the wrong height if the door were turned upright to its proper position. My phone calls, emails and letter requesting compensation for the cost of this damaged door have all been ignored. Unless you’re looking for the added aggravation of going to court for your next small home improvement project, look elsewhere.
