I couldn't be happier with the work Dave Paparaski and crew did on my hardwood floors.  You will not find anyone more passionate and professional then Dave.  From initial meeting to go over color, floor install, sanding, staining, follow up calls have been fantastic.  Even after the job has been completed its very easy to get Dave on the phone to ask questions on the upkeep of the floors. Its been about a year since the floors have been finished and they still look as great as the day they were installed.   I would recommend him highly to anyone looking to refinish or install new hardwood floors

10 out of 10! A superb job done by an incredibly talented and professional team. Dave Poparoski and his skilled team Travis Poparoski and Brian were fantastic. We hired them to refinish 5000 square feet of floors that were in terrible shape. The results are beyond what we expected. The floors are now gorgeous and truly a showcase for our home! The job was not without challenges due to the condition of the original floors as well as a flood we had during the process. Despite the setbacks that had nothing to do with Dave, he powered forward to complete the job for us on time and budget. We added to the job installation of new oak floors and we used his installer who was also fantastic. They are professional, conscientious, neat, and most importantly incredibly skilled at what they do. Part of the job also required Dave to match stain throughout the house despite having several different types and ages of wood. He nailed it! A 30 year old home feels like new and we are so grateful

Quite simply if you want the best then call Dave at the Hardwood Floor store. His work is impeccable and he is extremely detail oriented. Dave and his team put a new floor and it looks fantastic! We are very pleased.

I have included before and after photos. The patch job at the wall was perfect. The sanded a bedroom, hall, fining room and living room. Then we picked a stain that was recommended and matched the area. You can't even tell that there was no hardwood floor there at the new archway. The operation was dust free. They put so many coats on the floor it will last forever. They gave great cleaning instructions to keep the floor looking like that forever. I would highly recommend the hardwood floor store in Hillsdale NJ. And will have them back when we redo the 2nd floor.

Several friends recommended Dave Paparoski of The Hardwood Floor Store to us to refinish some hardwood floors that had been carpeted for years. From the first phone call and the first appointment we were very impressed with Dave. He truly knows his business and does an outstanding job. Dave and his crew were a pleasure to have around and they did everything they could to keep the work area as clean as possible. Dave Paparoski does outstanding hardwood floor work! We had used Dave a number of years ago to install a new hardwood floor in our study and he had done a beautiful job so when it came time to decide who would do the refinishing of our hardwood floors on our entire second floor we knew exactly who we would call for an estimate.
Dave came over that same day, scoped out the work and provided a very reasonable estimate which included the repair of a portion of the hardwood floors in our master bedroom and the refinishing of the entire second story and staircase. Upon receiving the written estimate, we advised Dave that we would like to proceed and he immediately included us in his busy schedule.
Dave began the work on the date scheduled and he and his crew did a magnificent job! They were all very professional and the floors came out better than we could ever have imagined. Further, the repair work was done so well that it was impossible to tell that a portion of our master bedroom floor had been replaced--it blended in perfectly. The job was completed within the time frame planned and Dave did a great job of keeping me informed of each and every step.

Dave Paparoski from The Hardwood Floor Store was one of three estimates that we received. Dave was very accommodating and prompt in scheduling our initial appointment. He spent a good deal of time evaluating the work that we were asking for and we were impressed with not only his knowledge, but also of his effort to provide us options for cost saving measures given the size of the job and the amount of stains that were present on the floor. After Dave left the house, we had no question in our minds as to who we would want to do the work. Prior to starting the actual work, Dave was able to come to the house and apply two different options of stain colors for us to pick from once we had narrowed down the actual shade, again being incredibly accommodating in scheduling. He also took the time to work on a small area where the floor was damaged to see if the stain would be removed with sanding or if we would need to replace parts of the floor. Based on what he was able to show us, we were able to avoid having to replace portions of the floor and ultimately save money. Dave covered all of the bases before starting, so that we had absolutely no surprises after the work had been completed. We trusted his opinion in regard to how to address certain areas that were damaged and were not dissappointed at all once the job was done. From beginning to end, Dave and his crew showed up on time and gave what turned out to be a very accurate estimate of how long the job would take. We were provided with very specific printed instructions on how to maintain the floors in the first few days after refinishing once work was complete, but Dave also spoke with us about the initial days and then how to maintain the newly refinished floors for the long term. We are so incredibly happy with how the floors turned out. All of Dave's suggestions really hit the mark and in the end, it looks like we had brand new floors installed. We would use Dave and The Hardwood Floor Store again in a second, but he did such a good job, that it may be another decade or so before we would need to call him. Given the fact that we bought an older home from the original owners, we knew that there would be a decent amount of work to be done and have in fact made other improvements, but Dave stands out among all of the people that have done work in our home because he made everything so easy and did such an amazing job.

We spoke with him and immediately decided this was the guy we were going to work with. Dave is extremely knowledgeable regarding his trade and responded to questions that we could not get a firm answer from the other vendors we were looking into. The installation went smoothly. They were on time, were neat and delivered exactly what they had promised. These floors are gorgeous! We were so satisfied that we actually gave him additional work, refinishing some of our other floors. Though they were not in awful condition, the new floors made them look dated and a little shabby. Dave sanded and refinished those too and matched the color perfectly to our new floors. We couldn't be happier. If looking for a flooring guy, this is one you definitely want to consider. You will not be disappointed.

They were very good. They normally don't do small jobs, but they were gracious enough to take care of my job.
