Basment flooded within a year of them doing their work.  Now they are nowhere to be found.

This service was performed in December 2007. I am writing this complaint in August 2010. Originally, I was satisfied with the work. However, this summer, my basement took on water which damaged my carpet and was pooling around my power strips for my entertainment center. Mad Waterproofing "claims" they guarantee all their work and will service any issues free of charge (within the guidelines of the guarantee). I called Mad Waterproofing after the initial damage this summer. I spoke with "Mike" and set up an appointment for a Tuesday morning. However, no one showed that Tuesday. I wasted a day waiting for a man who never arrived. They never returned my calls that day either. I managed to get a hold of Mike the next morning and demanded an explanation. He promised to call his technician and immediately get back to me. He never did. I called again and my calls were ignored. I then took another route and had my wife call from a different phone. This time they picked up. However, once they realized who she was and what she wanted, she was told a technician would call her back. Of course this never happened. I e-mailed their sales and service department and never received a reply either. It is quite clear to me that this company has no interest in fulfilling their contract obligations. Their guarantee is NOT worth the paper it is printed on. I would not recommend Mad Waterproofing to anyone. This is absolutely unacceptable. They take advantage of the consumer and apparently have no qualms in doing so. Spread the word and stay away from this company. They cannot be trusted.

They were extremely punctual, clean and haven't seen a drop of water in the basement since, even with the record amount of rain received this year.

They did not try to sell us more work than we needed (unlike other firms). The work was done professionally.

He did a good job, and I was pleased with the solution they came up with for the space. He was very responsive and prompt. They did a good job of cleaning up after the project was completed.

Overall it went great. My basement was disgusting, dingy and damp. Now its clean, they fixed the floor and took down old walls. We don't mind going down there any more.

It went well considering its a terrible job with all the dust and dirt. They did a very good job and worked so hard. They were very professional. They also took care of the plumbing when other waterproofers would not.

Workers were very hardworking, tidy and cheerful. They cleaned everything afterwards and arrived on time each day. Aaron was right on target diagnosing the problems - the only company to correctly analyze what all the issues were. Recommended and completed only necessary work, no more, no less. Estimate was fair. Excellent value for the services and work performed. Highly recommend.

The work went smoothly and was done as committed. Murphy's Law was in action, though, as there wasn't enough rain for the pump to kick on until February 2008, 9 months after it was installed. I breathed a sigh of relief when it started to work on the day we were leaving for our winter vacation. As the day went on, I noticed that the pump didn't shut off, so I took the cover off and found that the float wasn't dropping properly. I got it to work, and we went away. Fortunately, my daughter was home, and she called me a few days later, saying that the pump had separated from the discharge pipe and was spraying water all over. I called MAD and Aaron answered the phone. He agreed to get someone over to the house that day, and a few hours later all was well. So, while I could complain about the fact that the pump was not properly installed, it worked when we tested it. I am pleased with his commitment to stand behind his company's work and respond in an emergency.

I would recommend them. They were very hard workers. It was amazing. They stayed and wanted to finish the job. They didn't run out or want to take time off.

Tony contacted me the next day to set up a time for an estimate. He was on time and very honest. The crew showed up on time and didn't finish until the job was completed.

The works took place as scheduled, but the number of men provided on the first day was not enough. A call was made (left a voice mail) to ensure that the works were completed by the second day as agreed. Additional men came the second day to complete the works. The works was noisy and very dusty as was expected, however, the prevention of dust throughout the space could have been better, hence required additional cleaning the following days after the works were completed. A call was made to Aaron before the works started, but no reply was had. We did not hear or see Aaron throughout the whole process which was not providing us with a comfortable feeling, or have we heard from since. This is something that needs to be thought about if you are expecting the comfort factor, as the men were not very communicative in English. I would have expected the contractor to have undertaken the cleaning aspect of the work better. I am in two minds whether I would hire the contractor again.

Came on time for the estimate and then for the work itself. Aaron explained what should be done, and how they would do it. The workers were very professional at all times, cleaning up well after they were finished. They gladly accepted their $100 off coupon from a magazine that I found after I had already received their estimate.

The workers were here first thing in the morning, were very polite, and made a minimal amount of mess for this type of work. We had an oil tank next to the wall, and were considering removing it during a switch to gas heat. Aaron told us that they would work around it, and if it were removed, they would come back and redo that part of the trench at no charge. We called them since, fixed it as promised, and were very accommodating. All debris was removed afterwards, and the work area was left reasonably clean. We would recommend this company. The two other estimates we got were much higher priced for the exact same work and materials.

THEY WERE VERY PROMPT. WHEN THERE WAS A PROBLEM THEY RETURNED AND FIXED IT. THEY DID CLEAN UP ANY MESSES THAT THEY DID MAKE. THEY ALSO ANSWERED QUESTIONS THAT WE HAD.
