Onto the job - I thought the gentlemen who painted were fantastic. They were nice, professional, and they did a really good job. They were on time every morning and treated my home with respect. The cabinets look fantastic and I am very happy with the work that was performed. I would contact CertaPro again in the future if I had any painting needs.
To be fair about the price, I didn't get any other estimates (which probably makes be a bad consumer, but I'm being honest). In my head I think I probably overpaid slightly, but I am happy with the quality of the work so I can't complain all that much.
Price - About 10% more than other vendors
Quality - Excellent!
Time - job started about 1/2 day late on Thursday with only 1 painter due to his partner being sick. We felt it better that he have his partner join in when he felt better rather than bringing in a different crew or someone he is not used to working with. The partner did not come on Friday because he was still sick. The partner came on Saturday. The job was completed late Saturday. Originally expected a two day job but turned into a 3 day job. However was worth the inconvenience due excellent quality.

the job was done the way we wanted. Overall we were very pleased with the

From the time the estimate was given until the job was complete they delivered what was Promised.
The color consultant they offered was great and knew what she was talking about.
The work performed was excellent,..and they try to let you live your life as normal while they are working in your house.
The follow up is good and they were willing to return when some minor touch up was needed.

would start at 8am. When they couldn't turn off the front faucet that they used to power wash they told me they were going to Home Depot to buy a replacement part to fix it. I asked if it was okay, they said yes. When I looked two days later I noticed it was
dripping ? they had pulled out the turnoff knob and jammed a champagne cork in to the spigot! When the painting was complete I had a plumber come to replace the shutoff in the front. When the plumber went to turn off the water in the house, we found that the painters had used a pair of pliers to crimp the pipe in an attempt to stop the water flow. They never communicated that the job was finished and when I emailed to find out when the screens were going to be put back in it took two days for them to reply only to
say that they had tried to call me to see if I wanted to repair the screens before putting them back in to the windows (a few had holes in the screen material). 1st of all they did not try to call ? in this day and age of caller ID there is no point to lie about that. Secondly they had left the screens on top of the roof! How exactly did they expect me to repair screens that I couldn?t get to?
They also broke the motion sensor spot light on the house and didn?t tell me so I had to have that replaced. There was paint on the windows that I had to ask them to come and scrape and when they did, they left the scrapings all over the deck. Despite the fact that that I had a recycle bin and garbage can in the driveway, they left their empty coffee cups and soda cans in my planters! I also discovered a week later that the empty soda cans were from sodas that they helped themselves to from my garage fridge (nice to find out the painters drank all your soda when you are having a party!)
I contacted the office to have an adjustment made to the final bill to cover the cost of the plumber and spot light as well as to ask them to have the painters scrape and paint the window over the garage that still has the original peeling paint on it. There is touch up needed in several spots where I see bare wood at eye level. She said they would come and finish the job. They never did. To top it off ? the salesman gave my name and number out as a reference without asking me! Unprofessional to do that without asking but what about checking to see if I was even going to be a positive reference? I went with Certa because I thought that at least with a big name franchise there was less of a chance of an issue. WRONG! This awful experience is what made me join Angie?s List!
P.S. 4 months later they call to finish the work! 3pm message on Friday that they were coming Saturday. I told her no because I wasn't home - she says we can schedule when I got back- well to her that meant send them today. Went in the garage to get something out of my car and there is a ladder in the front. Seriously!?!?
