Scheduling was a breeze, I called at 1pm this afternoon and they had appointments as early as 3:30; I was at work so I booked a 6pm. I arrived early to fill out paperwork and we had a short wait in the main lobby, which was nice and spacious as Rocco is very dominant with other dogs. Dr. Stephens saw us within a few minutes and was very thorough and helpful with all my questions regarding his diet and leanness, teeth and gums, and allergies. We talked about testing and vaccinations; I set the expectation that I wanted pricing for each option, and she was very candid with the order of priorities. I ended up doing the heartworm/lyme test, and the rabies and distemper vaccines. I let the staff know in advance about his dominant personality, and they were super mindful to bring him through the side door after his shots.
While waiting to check out, I gave Rocco a treat from the counter, but he can be picky. One of the staff in the back room saw him leave it the ground, and was super nice and came out to offer him a liver treat which he loved! Definitely very observant and caring people here. Pricing was very fair in my experience, would definitely recommend this practice
"The Belle Mead Animal Hospital is not a 24 hour emergency clinic. We are one of the few animal hospitals that try to have one of our doctors available on the phone after hours via an answering service to talk to our clients if they are not sure whether they need to seek immediate care from a local, walk-in, 24 hour emergency veterinary facility. For more information, visit our website page bellemeadanimalhospital.com/emergency/ to view the emergency care facilities we would refer clients to for after-hours emergencies."
