Mennuti Construction

Please beware!!!!!!!  My family and I are victims of super storm Sandy. We were taken advantage of by  Mennuti Construction  LLC of Hightstown NJ. It wasn?t until we finally fired him and hired another contractor that we realized how wrong he did us. By that time it was too late and the damage was done. Not only damage to our wallets but un-reversible workmanship by either his crew or contractors he hired. He over charged us and performed mediocre or incorrect work, all along telling us how much he was doing for us. When we look back, sure there were red flags that went up that should have told us he was a bad decision. However we were already involved with him and it just seemed easier to stay with him. Plus it was already a year and a half since Sandy and we didn?t have a home yet. He was a (he thinks who he is) kind of guy. He always had an attitude and we always felt we were being talked down to. His crew were only at our house working 2-4 hours a day. When we compared his prices and what he was doing for us to our new contractor we felt horrible. Even the new contractors jaw hit the floor. We wasted precious dollars that could have been redirected in other places of the build. He had one lie after another. If you have to think if someone is lying to you than most likely they are. We felt confronting him or questioning something would make him mad. Also most of our extent of contact was through text. It was very difficult to get him on the phone and have a conversation. Just another sign we had made a bad decision. We are just trying to advise people, so he cannot continue to do this to other vulnerable innocent people. To say we are angry would be an understatement. We were betrayed on so many levels. After a year and a half of being displaced and desperate to get in a home Jimmy Mennuti knew it and took full advantage of that!!!!!!!!!!  Although we are not yet in our house, work is finally being done and we have a move in date two  months sooner than Mennuti Construction.
