Lyons Heating & Air Conditioning

We contracted Mr. Lyons to install a central air system in our small home. He promised the work would be completed in 2 weeks. Two years later the work was not completed, despite our making payments as agreed. Months would go by as Mr. Lyons would disregard phone calls and break appointments to come and work. In the meantime we lived with gaping holes in our walls and ceilings, and had to purchase window units to cool the house. Mr. Lyon’s workmanship was shoddy at best. The ductwork had numerous leaks, inefficient flexible duct was used extensively, registers were not fastened to the ceilings causing them to eventually drop pulling out wallboard and plaster, and the system did not cool the house to any level of comfort. We eventually filed a complaint with Mercer County consumer affairs, Mr. Lyons simply ignored their attempts to contact him, after several weeks he finally came to our house where we showed him the work that needed to be fixed. In order to finish the work Mr. Lyons said that he needed an advance of the final payment ($1,600) which was agreed to be paid upon completion. We refused since the work was not completed to any level of satisfaction, and it had not yet been inspected and approved by the township according to the building permit. We never saw or heard from him again after that.
