Originally hired Rich De Lorenzo's company to do a $70-80K addition around March of 2012 because they seemed capable, their references checked out (even though they were all from 5+ years ago), and they seemed cofident they could start the job by May/June, and be done by August because my wife was expecting and we were under a tight deadline. Delays started soon after we signed the contract. Most of the initial delays were because of Rich taking a week off here, 2 weeks there to go vacations, reunions and all kinds of lame excuses. I continually had to chase after this guy for weeks, then months, to the point that July came around and he hadn't even applied for the necessary construction permits. At this point he started blaming the town for the delays, which was bull because he didn't even engage them until months after they were hired. Finally, I ended up firing him at the end of July or begining of August, because he kept moving the dates, and it was clear he wasn't going to meet our needs. So my advice... don't hire him unless you expect your project to be months late or not completed at all. If you really want to hire him, make sure he gives you recent references becaue the once I got were 5 years old or more (when he still worked with a partner and before he took over the business all by himself).
Description of Work: Don't bother with these guys. Rich D (the owner) talks a good game, but can't deliver much!

Everything from day one was done with professionalism and courtesy. The quality of the job was excellent as they made sure everything was done to very high standards. The job was finished within a few weeks of original date (because I made changes mid job). I had a hard time making a decision on a backsplash and Rich came to the rescue, designing something beautiful and original. We felt so comfortable with this crew that we even went on vacation for a week and left them continue on with the job. They did such a good job, we're getting ready to do another bathroom renovation.
Description of Work: Rich and his guys renovated a large kitchen and master bath. The 26 foot kitchen had to be gutted down to the studs. We created a cathedral ceiling. Installed new windows, interior doors and sliding glass doors. Walls and ceilings had to be taken out to fix original builder's mistakes. Installed new closet organization systems, HVAC was installed including radiant floor heating. We installed high end cabinety, marble counters, backsplashes, flooring etc. appliances, The master bath was gutted, we installed radiant heat, new high end cabinetry, marble flooring and wall tile, sinks, plumbing, free standing tub etc. New AC system for entire house, on demand hot water, new soffits on outside of house. CHimney repair.

They were very prompt and very thorough. The quote was for about $15,000, and it was only for labor. We were going to have a discussion on the type of windows we wanted and so forth. Everything worked out great. There was nothing wrong, but we did not use them.
Description of Work: We contacted Tri County Add-A-Level to get a quote to build an addition to the house.
We had damage resulting from a fire in a fireplace which we discovered was not properly constructed when the house was built 36 yrs ago. After cleaning the house of smoke residue, we had to hire an architect to bring the fireplace 'up to code' since the insurance company's 'contractor' didn't have a clue. Tri County Add-a-Level had the experience and knowledge to come in and repair and install new materials to complete the job. The owner showed up each day to direct and oversee that the job is being done properly. All was completed as promised and within the price agreed. When and if, I add an addition or second level to my house I'm going with these guys.
Description of Work: Remove old tile floor and install new hardwood flooring. Remove damaged sheet rock and install new. Spackle sheet rock. Frame out fireplace to code in preparation of stone refinish. Install prefabricated fireplace mantel surround.
