Precision Landscape Contractors

Would Like to give this Business 0 stars. Agreed to estimate for a low retaining wall and grading and fixing part of a path behind my house. I expressed my need to get this done as quickly as possible at the time of the estimate. Sent him a check deposit the end of MARCH , 2023. Needed this work done urgently as my 87YO Mother has difficulty walking on the uneven ground. The check was deposited and I received a message that the work would be scheduled in a week or so. No one answers the phone at this business. No one calls back. But the check deposit was cashed. Now, here it is almost JULY, 2023. No work has been done. No work scheduled. after a few promises of it being a few weeks away for scheduling, no contact at all. I'm about to file a small claims suit, because my money is not being returned either.

Job originally agreed estimated start Date Sep 15, actual start date Sep 21.  Job was completed 2 days ahead of original estimates, and exceeded expectations.  ~800 sqft of pavers installed, and 11 large plants.  Also moved a number of existing plants to work with new design.
Workers were professional, clean, and polite.

A number of the arborvitaes had brown areas that I was told came from the delivery process and would be gone by the next season. The brown areas never did go away and started to increase on some of the arborvitaes.  I went through a number of months of contacting them and waiting quite some time to hear back from them. They did finally come by and look at the arborvitaes.  Several times I was told that I would be contacted by them at a time when they could come an resolve the issue and basically I never heard from them again either time. Right now I'm looking for someone to replace the arborvitaes with something different.

I got an estimate, then needed to use the estimate to get reimbursed by the insurance company. When I got the insurance company check, I called Eric back twice, but he never returned my call. I left a message saying: If you are too busy, please let me know so that I can hire someone else. No response. I consider that type of behavior very unprofessional. Based on that I would not hire him.

We signed on the contract on May 3rd and he said it would take about 4 weeks with a completion date on or around June 18th. There were delays and they didn't come to do the work until July 8th. Eric didn't keep me updated on the delays so I was in the dark about when the start date would be. He brought a crew out. I didn't feel like the crew worked as hard when he wasn't there as they did when he was present. They completed the work but a couple weeks later, I noticed that the sod wasn't doing well. I called and he was able to come back once and I showed him where there was crab grass growing. I purchased bluegrass and he did suggest a lawn treatment company to treat the new sod. There are spots throughout the lawn where it is dead even though it's watered on a regular basis and there are holes throughout as well. I have attempted to contact Eric several times over the last 3 weeks via phone and he has never responded. I went to the address listed on his proposal and he doesn't live there. I believe it was a relative. He called Eric and informed me that I had been calling the wrong number. Eric provided his cell number which he is still not answering or returning messages.

I spoke with a representative from Precision Landscaping on approximately 8/23/13 inquiring about a estimate for some work I needed done on my patio . We scheduled a date of 8/28 at 10 AM , at 11 AM they still had not shown up .I called at this time to see if they would be stopping by and left a message explaining I had taken off of work to meet with them and if they could call me back letting me if they are stopping by or not. Not only did they never show up but did not even have the decency to return my phone call . If this is how they treat there customers when there trying to get your business I would hate to see how they act once they have your money . I feel this company lacks professionalism and would find somebody else to use

I had a deadline and was concerned about having all of this work done prior to that. Eric, one of the owners, assured me the work would be done in 5 days which was a week ahead of my deadline. They had to start by moving a hot tub off the patio and then later reconnected it. Trees were removed, stumps ground. The crew arrived on time every day and worked late to stay on target. Owners Eric or Nick were on site several times a day every day. When I had a question about the patio design, the crew called the owners and one of them came over right away to address my question. The old patio took longer to remove than Eric expected and one day it rained so bad they had to stop working by noon. Even then, they stayed very late on the last day to finish. My yard looks bigger and more beautiful than ever. I plan to use them again to work on the front of my house next. By the way, I found them on Angie's List.

The designs they came up with were excellent. They did great work.

Eric was very responsive to all calls, came when he said he would, drew up diagram for requested work
and work to be done in the future. Did not hard sell. Came to pickup trees and shrubs pulled out by another
contractor in preparation for his work. Although scheduled for weeks later, had an opening and fit us in
earlier as requested. Work was neat, quick, and just what we wanted. Will definitely use him for the remaining
outdoor projects.

Found Precision Landscaping on Angie's List. Met with Eric and discussed with him our 'must do list ' and 'wish list.' Eric has a real gift to incorporate beauty, placement, and design for his clients. His designs are unique and 'flowing;' not the usual boxy look for back yards. He is open to 'recycling' materials as appropriate and mindful of budget and needs.(ie, used small red stones for base in serenity zone.) Eric's solutions to our run off and drainage issues were accurate and complete. He installed 2 new drainage systems for pool and rain run off; and agreed a retaining wall was a permanent solution to the problem in one area of the yard. He worked in every thing on our 'must do list' and our 'zen zone' from the wish list. All for the initial budget of $9,000.

Eric informed us of the choices for pavers that were in budget. We choose a more expensive paver to co-ordinate with the existing brick on our older house. We added a stone sitting bench / wall to the 'serenity zone.' We thought this was necessary as there was a slight drop-off from the patio due to the slope in our yard. Thus the budget increased -our choice. And Eric was right on in the placement of the bench / wall.

Eric and his team (9 total) arrived on 4/30 and completed the work on 5/3. The team worked well together and was respectful of our property. They did all the work as noted above. The shovels were moving, the saws buzzing from when they arrived at 8am till they left at 6:30pm. Their lunch break was less than an hour. It was amassive amount of work. Eric met with us every morning to review the work plan and answer questions . It is far better than we imagined! and we are enjoying our 'serenity zone. '

Very satisfied wiht the overall work, professionalism and pricing for the job just completed. They showed up on time and the job was completed as promised . The owner Eric was on site at the beginning and end of each workday proving guidance and direction to the workers. The pricing was fair and included some new material that was notoffered by other bidders. We have discussed using this company for additional work next season.

Eric promptly returned my phone call and we setup an appointment for him to come over. He looked over the job and within a couple of days he had a plan made up and ready to show me. It was a good mix of hardscape and plantings I was pleased with the estimate and told him it was a go. When the workers arrived they where very methodical on how they were doing the work. They created a pile for old dirt and grass and a pile for new top soil and mulch. The whole job was done in a matter of two days. Now my front yard looks balanced with good shade.

It went very well, they were very professional and very good.

Precision Landscape Contractors was too high for me.

They were very easy to work with. Eric told us exactly when his crew was going to be at the house working. When there was an issue on the job, Eric came to us right away to explain the issue, the ramifications and his suggestion on how to proceed. (As a side note, the issues on the job were due to unexpected site conditions, such as uncovering a large tree stump below ground, and had nothing to do with Precision Landscape Contractors.). The job came out even better than I imagined it would. I am extremely happy and would highly recommend Precision Landscape Contractors to anyone.

They did such a great job, we are asking them to give us a price for more work at our home.

I spent $9000 on that service. The work turned out great. They were very conscientious to detail. Their professionalism and clean up was all very good.

I liked that they called and said that they were coming. The guy showed up on time. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable. He gave me an estimate before he left on the patio and he was going to call me back regarding the estimate for landscaping and he never did. I would probably not use their services again in the future.

The job took a little over a week to complete. It's amazing how much stone goes into a project of this size.

After a horrible winter, there is only a single plant that will be replaced.

Eric and his crew do a great job. I have used him several times in the past, and have never been disappointed with the work.

As above. It went very well. We were extremely pleased with the owners and the crew. I had posted all of this when the work was finished and do not understand what happened to my original posting!

They did a wonderful job. They finished the job on last Wednesday. I would highly recommend them. They were very good, conscientious, excellent and hard workers. Eric, the owner was very conscientious and good too. I paid a lot of money for the job. We had 3 quotes and they gave us the most economical way to do the work. My husband didn’t want mulch and so we had all stones put all over the yard. Eric even came back the next day once he was finished and brought extra loads of stones at no charge. He replaced the pavers in the front at no cost. He had to put extra pavers in the back, but he only charged for the labor and not for the pavers. The quality was excellent. I am very satisfied with him. He was an excellent worker. He was a very nice man and his company was nice as well. I would definitely use his services in the future too.

Eric s a very clever landscape designer and has done a lot of commercial work. (Check out the Chili's on Rt. 35 North in Middletown, NJ.) He has a real organic feel for Nature and when he's done, it looks like it has always been there.

I think Eric is actually a Hobbit because when he finished our front and back, it looked like a cosy manor in the Shire!
