Paid upfront examination fee for Echo leaf blower with the understanding that fees will be adjusted towards actual repairs. Got a call with a quote of $329 for fixing an unit that costs $299 - basically everything had to be changed - carburerator, filter, throttle and some other stuff plus labor.
Obviously I brought it back and lost the upfront fee. In a couple of days my landscaper came by and had a look - he identified that the fuel pipe was constricted and hence fuel wasn't being fed properly He pulled it out, cleaned it up, put in some fresh premixed gas and unit now works great. Runs smooth and noise level is as new. Obviously throttle isn't working, but all i have to do is hit the choke to shut the engine. Cost - zero.
My sense is these guys just want to change everything, no interest in finding a common sense fix first. Bad experience.

Snowblower suffered from clogged carb from stale gas, engine wouldn't run.  Brought it up to JB on a Saturday, got a call it was done on the following Friday, picked it up on Saturday, and it ran like a champ. Charges clearly posted on a menu board at the counter. I got full Snowblower service package which included oil change, spark plug, clean carb, and check all belts, etc. for $165 plus parts and tax of course.  Staff was courteous and professional, offered advice on use and storage to avoid future problems.  So much better than the store where I bought it... bad experience there.  They offered $99 in-home service, but all they did was change the oil.  Their repair shop at the Middletown store didn't work on 8HP and larger, so they would have had to send it to a central shop which would take 3 to 4 weeks.  So glad I found JB.

He had our mower for ten days. Said he would call us with estimates before work was done, but did work without our permission. He also said that he wouldn't charge for pick or delivery, but later said he didn't remember saying that and charged me anyway. The itemized bill states that he put gas in the tank, but when we went to start it there was no gas, so we had to purchase more gas before we could move the mower to sale it. Between the gas and the filters it was $50 and charged $120 for labor.

We have used them in the past. Nothing really stands out about them. We would use them again.

This is the third lawn sprinkler company we have tried and we are very happy with JB. Their price is the most competititve, their workers are friendly and professional. They are punctual; they use walkie-talkies to talk to each other during the job so they do not waste time walking back and forth. Very happy with this company.
