If you have American Home Shield, these will be the guys they send almost always. They only fix the most basic of issues. They always try to get out of the house in under an hour and usually claim to need a part. They say they will come back but never do and close the claim on AHS. The work I have managed to get them to do over time has been very poor and has taken months instead of days or even a few hours. If you have AHS, drop it immediately. My understanding is these guys do most of the home warranty work in the area. We live in Monmouth Beach. Get a real plumber to fix issue and forget AHS and especially Peoples Plumbing.

I've had a lot of trouble with them. I was very unhappy. They are not professional and not responsive.

These are the worst people in the world. Do NOT use them!!! We were stuck with them through our American Home Shield insurance. As a result we were treated like second class citizens. We had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment for a leak coming from our shower through our ceiling. When they came the guy did not have the proper equipment to fix it. We were told the pipe needed to be soddered and a new shower nozzle needed to be installed to stop the leak behind the wall of the shower. We had to wait another week for the one guy who has soddering equipment to come. He arrived 15 minutes before our scheduled appointment time and when we weren't home yet and we asked them to wait 10 minutes while we pick our daughter up at preschool. They said okay but left anyway! Once they finally came back they refused to fix the shower nozzle even though both technicians have said its poor installation is a major contributing factor to the leak and if we do not replace it, the pipe will spring a leak again in a year. Now I have to have another plumber out to fix the other issue. They just want to get more money out of you rather than actually fix your plumbing problem. Once they finally agreed to make the repairs they claim to have soddered the pipe and installed the nozzle. They did not test the shower to make sure the leak did not continue. A day later the leak was just as bad if not worse then when they started this repair. When we called them back to come have fix the work that was not done properly they once again were scheduling us with a plumber who did not have the ability to sodder pipes. When we demanded someone who could immediately address our problem that is now going on 3+ weeks they hung up on us. When we called back they refused to service the repair they guarantee for 30 days. The receptionist is incredibly nasty and not helpful and the plumbers have no idea what they are doing!! You are throwing away your money!! DO NOT USE!!! Especially if you are using an insurance plan to deal with your issue. They agreed to accept these plans and they benefit by getting business from them. I live 30+ miles away I would never have called a plumber in Keyport to do this job otherwise. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!

Our Central Air wasn't working. Called People's and they came and diagnosed and fixed the problem. Prices were very reasonable and service was professional and prompt. We've used this company for years and they've never let us down. I highly recommend them.

Very quick, and honest. Looked at my kitchen sink, I thought it was a major problem, turns out it I just need a faucet.

Toilet repair fine. Tech fixed shower showed me it was working. Easy fix so no no charge. The next day I tried to turn it on and it did't work.

$214
Brief summary:
The plumber charged $214 for 20 minutes of routine plumbing work.
That's an hourly rate of $642 per hour!
Details:
We had air in the pipe of one of the three zones of our hot water heating system.
The water pump for that zone started to make a screeching sound on Thursday. So, we turned off that zone.
The next morning around 8:30 AM on Friday, we called the plumber and spoke with a receptionist, who was friendly and professional.
We told her that one of our three heating zones was not working.
We told her that we were hoping to have it repaired before the weekend, but we did not tell her that it was an emergency.
She told us that the plumber would arrive between noon and 4:00 PM, and that she would call us 15 minutes before the plumber's arrival. (His business is a 15 minute drive from our house.)
We never received that call from the receptionist, and the plumber arrived late at 4:10 PM.
He quickly determined that the solution was to bleed the air from the pipe of one of the three zones of our hot water heating system. He spent about 10 minutes bleeding the air from the pipe.
He didn't fix or replace any parts.
Halfway through the work, he told us that he charges $250 for bleeding pipes.
With the Angie's List discount, the total was $214.
He spent a total of 20 minutes at our house.
That's an hourly rate of $642 per hour!

Worst plumbing company we ever dealt with over the phone. The lady who answers the phones is an expert in customer dis-service. Her standard answer is: You're next on my schedule, he'll get to you when he gets to you. Have a good day, and then hangs up (we had to use them twice via a warranty company). Dare you ask to speak to the owner or someone else.. She'll hang up on you without the courtesy of saying "Have a Nice Day". For someone her age, she sounded older on the phone, she should have picked up some manners along the way.
Enough about the switchboard jock, and back to the work quality. This would have been a 4 Star rating if we did not have the misfortune of dealing with the Switchboard Jock. Sorry :-(

The knob in the shower stall was getting stuck when we turned it and we could not get the water as hot as we wanted.  Andrew took a look at it and told me what was wrong and fixed it free of charge.  He then looked at the pipe that needed to be installed in a different shower and conveniently had the correct replacement on his truck.  He then replaced it so the the shower head now sprays at the correct angle. He also gave me some recommendations on a new toilet which was helpful and gave me an estimate on installation. He even took a quick look at one of our other toilets because I had a a question about its quality.  I found Andrew to be polite and informative. I will call this company back when we are ready to install the new toilet.

I called to request service and set up a date and time.  They called me the morning of to confirm that they were on their way.  Everything needed was explained to me, the cost was broken down and I agreed to it prior to any work being done.  Everything was completed in a very timely manner.  I was extremely pleased and will recommend them to family and friends.
