I was looking for someone to redo my deck and was visiting friends in a nearby town when I saw a deck being built next door, I walked over and was impressed with the quality of the work. I spoke To Alex Vetlov the owner and he made an appt. for an estimate. He gave me the estimate, which I thought was an excellent price, so we signed a contract. Alex was busy at the time, but stated that he could start in about 2 weeks, and that it would take a week. Alex contacted me the day before and showed up on time, and completed the entire job in a week. He and his team always showed up on time, and the work was on budget, with all debris hauled away and the yard left pristine. I could not be more pleased. I would highly recommend Alex Vetlov Construction.

My in-laws are not great with understanding construction so they asked me to hire a contractor and oversee their construction, I was there every day, and I made decisions and oversaw the project. I spent more time managing my in-laws than I did the contractor. I had not used these guys before, I did not know them, now I recommend them.
Went well, the biggest delay was the town took 7 weeks to get us permits. Not that we needed to change anything, all was approved as submitted, they were just too slow (Wayne). The contractor was great about it. They provided a very reasonable architect/engineer to plan the new supports for the bearing walls that were being removed.
They tore down 2 walls, and installed new beams. They married the floors in the rooms (teak flooring) installed electric and plumbing. We had an issue with a plumber they used, since the regular guy was out of town, but that was addressed professionally.
Everything was smooth until Hurricane Sandy Hit. Yes all of this was done before and after Sandy! The contractor was delayed due to the lack of power at our home for over a week, but one the power was restored they went back to work.

Very smoothly. Weather caused delays but he did what he could in the rain too. Clean work and good quality
