Gordon Irrigation is a full service and professional company that wouldbe able to take care of all your irrigation needs. We have a total of 4 employees and as the owner, I am on the job and available as needed. My service manager has been in the irrigation business for over 15 years and gives you fast and reliable service at a reasonable price. My installation crew has been installing sprinkler systems for a number of years and will install your system in an efficient and professional manner and under my full supervision. We use a licensed plumber to install the plumbing hookup inside your house and install the backflow preventer as required by the State of NJ. We are fully licensed and insured.

Mr. Miller was knowledgeable and personable and came recommended by our Landscape contractor. After installing the system, which operated fine through the Summer / Fall, Mr. Miller performed the winter shut down and arrived on schedule and did a professional job.
For spring start up I left several messages which were not returned - until one day Mr. Miller called me at work and indicated he'd be in my neighborhood (Northern NJ) about 5:30 PM and could perform start up around that time. I indicated that I was currently in NYC working, and I would leave work but my arrival time was contingent on traffic, which in NY/NJ can be very variable - and I'd do the best I could. On the way home, I did hit traffic and called to indicate I might be 15 minutes later than planned. Mr. Miller must have decided that his schedule couldn't accommodate my delay, because he was not there when I arrived at 5:40 PM
I then started up the system on my own, by reading the manual and following the instruction. Unfortunately, though all zones worked - one sprinkler head did not provide coverage to a section where new shrubs had been planted.
Over the course of 4 months after start up, I called Mr. Millers listed phone number about five(5) times and left messages - since I wanted to have Mr. Miller fix the section that was not fully working. On the sixth call I talked to his office personnel who was surprised I had received no return calls. On the later calls (i.e. voice messages) I stated if he was too busy to get our system working - could he at least return my call & suggest another company. Well all I can report after the a total of about eight calls, I have not received any calls back & am extremely disappointed that (1) the system doesn't full work and (2) I was not provided the courtesy of a return call.
I know Mr. Miller is in a competitive business, and weather, etc can foul up schedules - but he should be able to make his customers whole within a month - let alone 4 months, especially in a system that is not even a year old.
Base on this experience, I am disappointed to report that I can not recommend that other Angie List members use Gordon Irrigation.
