All the 5 star reviews you see are very well-deserved but Hammer Head really earns 6 stars! They go above and beyond expectations with professionalism, careful, detail-oriented work. In addition, the Hammer Head team was careful in moving existing furniture around so they could do their work. In addition to his great communication and high standards, James C. has a sense of design that is hard to find with a remodeling company. Hammer Head made my home feel like a new again!

As I was preparing my late Mother’s home for sale, my realtor suggested removing the old mauve carpet. Knowing that there were oak hardwood floors underneath, I agreed. That opened Pandora’s box, black spots everywhere(!) from the padding I was told. I needed help in a hurry. At a friend’s recommendation, I contacted HHG. James Calvalucci came by the house late in the day on a Saturday and gave me pricing on Sunday. This man has quite the work ethic. Knowing how desperate I was, he was ready to start on Thursday. I had painters in the space and could not accept his generous offer to start so quickly. I waited a couple of weeks and was back in the schedule again. It was worth every second of the wait. The floors turned out fantastic. They received rave reviews from all the potential buyers that came through and I think they sold the house. When they say “dust free” sanding, believe it! Once they were done, there was no dust, nothing out of place, closet doors were put back on, heat registers etc. Their attention to detail is spot on. It was like someone waved a magic wand and pouf – GORGEOUS floors! HHG is busy and rightfully so, but so worth the wait. A company you can trust to do the job and do it right - professional, mindful and even caring!

The work was performed swiftly and with attention to detail. James was easy to work with and accommodating with various changes to the original plan. I wish it were possible to post photos here; the place looks LOADS better than before. Dingy out-of-date kitchen is now lovely and welcoming, and ugly tile-rimmed fireplace now looks much classier surrounded with stone facade. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Once a quote was acquired, James was very communicative and forthcoming on a timeline. The work was done on time and we even added to their workload with a second project not initially quoted (replacement door). The work was fantastic, clean and exactly what we hoped for.

Our house is a historical home in Groveville NJ. 1829 built. In the 25 years we've owned this there was only one paintjob done. The old paint was peeling off tremendously. Jimmy from hammerhead fully restored the paint! Accent trim and more. Even fixed rotten wood around 1829 windows. I highly reccomend them. I am in NYC construction and I see a lot of contractors, Hammerhead is a great contractor.

The building was magically transformed, project Management and communication was excellent, the work was completed on time and within budget. James the owner operator is warm, honest and treats his projects like it’s his own home. These guys are busy, but worth the wait!!

I hired Hammer Head Group Painting & Remodeling to paint the entire interior and to power wash and touch up the exterior of my home. I initially reached out and was pleased to promptly hear back from Hammer Head owner Jimmy Cavalucci. My first impression of Jimmy was that he was very professional and compassionate. My husband has some physical challenges and Jimmy suggested some home improvements that would assist my husband with his mobility. Jimmy listened carefully, assessed the needs of our home and easily planned out the job. Jimmy was very thorough and detailed in assisting us throughout the decision making process. He offered very helpful recommendations and provided options and then left it up to us. Jimmy was clear on setting expectations and a timeline, which were very consistent. Jimmy was very hands-on and available, clearly committed to our project. His crew followed through on all phases of the project. They were timely, courteous, professional, efficient, hard-working and very neat. They were easy to work with and produce high quality work. They took great care in moving our furniture and were so very careful with all of our belongings. A beautiful backsplash in our kitchen and light fixtures were the final touches on our home improvement project. After a much needed update, we are so very pleased with the end result. Our house has been transformed into a home again! We are very thankful for Jimmy Cavalucci and his crew. We plan to work with Hammer Head Group in the future. I wholeheartedly recommend them for home improvement needs. I have the upmost confidence in them.

My husband and I wanted to update our kitchen and wanted our cabinets and island painted. We chose Hammer Head after meeting with James and we immediately knew he was the contractor we were looking for. James and his team are professional, friendly and very talented. James came by every day to see the progress and make sure we were happy with the work. His team arrived promptly each morning and worked diligently all day. The finished product is the kitchen of our dreams. I will always use Hammer Head Group for any future projects and highly recommend them.

Hammer Head did an amazing job refinishing our floors. We hired them again for some challenging tile work (to fix a mistake that our plumber had made) and they did great work, you can't even tell that the tile had to be removed and replaced. We'll definitely use them again in the future.

I hired the Hammerhead Group to paint a large kitchen, a great room and the master bedroom, adding crown molding and baseboard molding to the bedroom , painting the fireplace, removing shelving, drywall repair, painting the front door (exterior), and vinyl plank flooring installation. I can’t say enough great things about James and the Hammer Head Group! James was a pleasure to work with. He listened to what I wanted, and most importantly to what I didn’t want. He provided an estimated timeline and communicated with me as each timeline approached. It was clear from my first meeting with him that he cares about his work and his customers. During the 4 days his team was here, he checked in with me every day to make sure I was happy with the work being done. He was happy to accommodate any last minute requests, for example, on the first day of work, I decided I wanted to replace the bedroom carpet with vinyl plank flooring and James had a flooring crew here the next day. His team were beyond wonderful! They were here on time everyday, they were polite, professional and took great care of my home!! They went above and beyond in helping me move items so the floor could be installed. The work they performed was better than I could have imagined. Don’t hesitate to hire the HammerHead group. I will definitely be hiring them again for the remainder of my “to do” list.

Hammer Head Group and James Cavalucci perfomed an amazing job remediating damage to our home after a pipe break. We had damage in the first level of the house. Our goal was to ensure that the restoration was handled professionally and completed in a timely manner while monitoring the cost. The scope and estimates provided by the insurance company were not in alignment with what it would cost for a project of this scope. Jim worked with us to meticulously explain the details and communicated directly with our insurance company to find a middle ground. Jim was always available and this was the best portion of retaining him. He answered all phone calls, emails, and questions promptly. Jim and team did a fantastic job from start to finish. They started and worked daily until the job was completed in one go. All professionals under him are really good at what they do. The electricians, plumbers, floor installers and painters were professional, courteous and always on time. We would strongly recommend Jim and Hammerhead Group to anyone who is looking for the perfect contractor.

I have hated my kitchen for as long as I have lived in my house (about 8 years). But I was always “too busy” to do something about it. I saw a post on a Facebook page for Robbinsville asking for suggestions on kitchen renovation. Most of the recommendations were all for Jimmy Cavalucci and the Hammer Head Group. I decided to reach out just to get an estimate in cost for painting the cabinets and entire kitchen, doing a backsplash, installing lights, etc. I am so grateful for the recommendation of Jimmy and his team. Jimmy came out to do a free estimate and really asked a lot of questions to what I was looking for, etc. He was very thorough in detailing exactly what I wanted. He also provided professional advice on other things that I may want to consider. I really appreciated his thoughts and insights into other things that I could add if I wanted. But he never pushed or tried to convince me to do those things to up sell. He was providing options and then left it up to me. Jimmy was very meticulous throughout the Process, about the contract, setting expectations, and ensuring I was fully informed of everything. He was easily available and communicative throughout the entire process. His team started on a Saturday and were done by Thursday. They worked independently, yet checked in with me to ask questions for clarification for how I wanted certain things. Jimmy also checked in on the progress throughout. They followed through on every commitment. I now finally have a kitchen that I love!!! I couldn’t be happier with the end result! Hammer Head Group and James Cavalucci did an OUTSTANDING job renovating our home after a fire! All rooms and surfaces of our home had smoke damage and it was time to do some additional work. We needed to approach the job smartly by being sure all the damage was completely remedied and all work was done within budgets. The insurance company’s work scope and budget was initially different than ours. Jim worked with us on the details of the conflicting scopes. Jim also communicated directly with our insurance company to negotiate an agreement. This was a crucial step to maximize our homeowner’s insurance benefits. He made sure the job was done correctly and completely. Jim answered all phone calls, emails, and questions promptly and completely. He thoroughly understood the big picture and the minor details. Jim and Hammer Head Group did a FANTASTIC job from start to finish. They came to every meeting or work day prepared, on time and ready to go. I reached out to James on Sunday, he came by to see the scope of work on Tuesday & he managed to make the schedule work so that the floors were done Wednesday & paint done Friday. His crew was great. On time, super nice & professional & they did a beautiful job. James was great at communicating. First and foremost, I can’t say enough about the amazing job Jimmy and his team did on our home. We started off with a quote to paint our kitchen. I was very anxious about having work done on our home, but Jimmy made me so comfortable and set high expectations early on that we decided to expand the scope, and ultimately had the floors and paint done for a large majority (75%) of our downstairs, and I’m so glad we did. The floors look amazing, the paint looks amazing and I feel like I have a brand new home. I’m incredibly detail oriented and Jimmy made sure that my very high expectations were met fully and completely. For me, although the end results are the most important, a close second is the process to get there. Jimmy was in constant communication with us and always available if we had a question or concern and never made us feel like any request was unreasonable or too trivial. He communicated a timeline and stuck to it and made sure we understood what to expect from each day’s work. Jimmy checked in with us each morning to explain the work that would happen, and each evening to make sure we were satisfied with the day’s work. Jimmy did not treat this like a job, but understood that this is our home and how important it was for us. We will definitely be inviting Jimmy and the Hammer Head Group back when we are ready to start our next job!

I only gave them an A rating because there was no way to give Hammer Head Group the A+ they deserve. The refinished floors are beautiful, the drywall work came out great! Painting of the ceilings in my upstairs bedrooms was perfectly neat and clean. With regard to all of the work, no mistakes! Very clean. They get in, work hard, and get the job done right without delays. Jim was great to deal with. He worked with me to meet my schedule needs. He showed up to all appointments on time. He regulary checked in. The whole crew was respectful, communicative, clean and highly skilled. It was a pleasure dealing with Hammer Head Group and I would definitely hire them again.

The job went very well. The interior had not been painted in about 15 years. Some areas needed prep work and molding replaced and they did a thorough job. I was pleased and would hire them again.
