We needed a company to replace two basement windows whose frames had rotted away and were leaking significant amounts of water into our house. In order to prevent a flood, we had to apply large amounts of hydraulic cement to the edges, and a lot of it ended up on the floor below where it quickly solidified. Don't worry - this is important to the story, and all of it occurred before we even knew Cook's Glass existed - keep reading! After bailing out tons of water from our brand new basement swimming pool, we called Cook's Glass and an actual person immediately scheduled a visit to our home. The representative, Len, gave us a very reasonable estimate, and mentioned they would return once the proper parts came into the shop. We paid a 50% deposit and sent him on his way. Fast forward around 6 weeks, and we were surprised to see Len return, on-time, with two very capable and professional workers. They had promised a total work time of four hours start to finish, which we initially found hard to believe. About three hours later, however, they were all done. Now, granted, these aren't floor to ceiling windows made of ornate stained glass, but in that time the old ones were gone and new ones installed, secured, and caulked with no issues. They cleaned up after themselves, and for some reason EVEN REMOVED THE SOLIDIFIED HYDRAULIC CEMENT WE HAD PREVIOUSLY LEFT ON THE GROUND. Wow. Len, knowing it would rain the next day, gave us a couple things to look out for, and mentioned that if we saw any leaks whatsoever, that we could call him at any time to repair it. Now that is true professionalism.

Generally fine. The installers were very careful getting frame units in and out of their mounts. The new glass was pleasing to see. On the other hand, two of the casement frames were significantly rotted due to unusual weathering, and new glass was installed in these also. One frame could not hold its shape and so the glass cracked almost immediately. We were then told that the company did not replace or repair whole windows (strange) or give refunds for unused glass units since they were "custom size" (unacceptable). There are lots of ins and outs to this story, but don't expect that every scenario will turn out well; even though there is a pre-order measurement visit it didn't include an inspection that might have avoided the waste of money.

Everything went well. The installers were excellent and very pleasant.

I am a regular customer of Cook's Glass. They are reliable, punctual and extremely helpful all of the time. I would recommend them to everyone for work. I am very pleased with every job they have done for me.

I was able to get an appointment for the next day, they gave me my appointment window and who to expect to do the repair. The tech arrived with parts in hand ready to fix my issue. He had the first window fixed within 5 mins and the second window fixed shortly after. The tech was professional and cleaned up once work was done. I had an overall great experience and would not hesitate using them again.

I used them twice for the same reason. Windows were sweating between the panes of glass or fogging up. I used them because they were local. The repair was fine but afterwards I found out I paid a lot for the repairs. I could have saved a lot of money if I shopped around. I have since decided to replace my windows and am now in the process of doing that. The company I am using is Dream House Exteriors in West Berlin, New Jersey. They have not started working on my windows yet..I contracted them in February before I joined Angie's List.

It went very well. They came on time and did the job that they were supposed to do. I did not have to replace the entire window which was what some other companies were telling me I would have to do. I would highly recommend Cook's Glass for their professionalism and punctuality.

Two teams (four men) arrived on time and worked eight hours in miserably hot (nearly 100 degrees) weather with almost no break. They finished the job in one day, leaving the condo like they found it. While it has only been a few days since installation, the heat passing through the windows is noticeably lessened.
